Lovely also to see Sarah Chatto, Samuel Chatto and Samuel’s girlfriend at the Highland Games with Charles. And Sarah got to sit next to Major Johnny!

Sarah’s dress is a Jasper Conran shirt dress - I keep promising myself one of those when I lose several stone, find some cash down the back of the sofa and have the right occasion to wear it.

The Emperor and Empress need to share their skincare routines because both are in their 60s yet have the complexions of someone much younger!

True, the Empress in particular just has amazing skin and is such an elegant woman.

I like the shoes with the contrasting colour toes that the woman in the middle of the Japanese trio is wearing. Very old school elegance that makes me nostalgic for the kind of smart shoes my mother used to wear...

Samuel Chatto's girlfriend seems to be wearing flat Mary Janes, which seems an excellent choice. Nice to see a skirt and blouse combo too.

Love Sarah Chatto’s dress as it reminds me of a top I had twenty years ago - same black and white stripes, cap sleeves, v neck and had the same generous wrap around and tie at the waist. I still think about it even without a reminder like this and would buy something similar in an instant if I saw it. The nearest I have is a patterned shirt dress but the waist tie isn’t as generous as Sarah’s. I imagine Sarah’s dress is £££ though.

Whilst we're on the subject of fantasy wardrobe choices, l'd like to have the money to get a tartan dress made - proper woollen cloth, of course. Probably in the commemorative Borders tartan that was created after the pandemic.

Sleeveless and fairly fitted, I think, to display the tartan pattern in all its glory. Knee length. I'd wear it with a merino rollneck jumper and boots.

Sarah Chatto looks very like The Old Queen as my mother called Queen Mary's. Diana and Fergie brought new genes....I think Lady Louise looks royal! Still considering Zara...

We've seen the pictures already, but here's an article about Leti and daughters in matching sandals. In this picture, I actually really like Leti's dress. It hangs better and I like the pattern. Leonor's trousers look better, too.

Leonor, Sofia and Queen Sofia look very summery in their colourful prints. I like Sofia's Zara dress. I'm not sure about Leti's, it's kind of fitted, but flowing? Felipe likes the traditional summer shirt, but I think he should pair it with lighter trousers and shoes.

I wonder if Max and family will be enjoying their yacht this year

Just thought I’d mention a random Facebook page that’s appeared on my feed but is very interesting. It posts pictures of Royal jewellery with a history of it, and there is SO much.. loads that haven’t been seen for decades. I have no idea how accurate it is (possibly not very) but it’s interesting all the same. Anyway it’s called World Time if anyone wants a look.

This I like. Is it a corset dress? It looks just fine for Mallorca, white and cool. Very simple yet stylish. That's a very interesting bracelet and a bit of a departure for Leti.
