Recs for a lemon perfume that doesn’t give off ‘cleaning spray’ vibes?

I am after a lemon perfume that actually smells of lemons and not toilet/bathroom cleaner.

Ones I’ve tried that to me have the cleaner smell are:

Eros Pour Femme Versace
Under The Lemon Tree Maison Martin Margiela
Yellow Diamond Versace

Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you 🤗

Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte is very citrusy and light. I love it but it’s sadly very expensive

Polo Sport Women used to be very citrussy too.

& Other Stories do a lovely one called Sicilian Sunrise.

I love L’Occitane Verbena and have all the range - love the zesty scent and often get people saying how nice and fresh I smell

If you’re ever in Spain treat yourself to the baby cologne they sell there. It’s beautiful.

Mary Greenwell Lemon

Sometimes pops up on The Fragrance Shop.

I still love CK one, CK IN 2U is also citrusy. I love Blackberry and Bay (Jo Malone or Aldi dupe) too, I find that citrusy but not lemony.

Have a look at Acqua di Parma. They have a few citrus scents.

O de Lancome

Oooo I’ve got one you might like, and it’s not expensive either. C.O. Bigelow’s ‘Lemon no 1999’, I got it on a Sali Hughes recommendation and I love it. It’s pretty pure lemon, very simple, so depends what vibe you’re after. I often wear it to the gym 😅 because I like smelling it on myself in there, or after the shower. But it’s fairly fleeting!

Dior Homme Cologne. Much nicer than the female ‘equivalent’ - escalé a Portofino.

Another one voting L’Occitane Verbena, but match it with the body lotion for it to last longer.

Following with interest. I love everything lemony. Soap, shower gel, perfume, cleaning agents, desserts. I’m a lemon/citrus freak 🍋😄

D and G Light Blue might fit the bill.

Agree with O de Lancôme. The description says other notes but to me is pure lemon fizziness.

Agree re. the L'occitane verbena not being long lasting, and that the lotion lasts longer! Frustrating as it is lovely.

Another vote for 4711 here! It's very cheap and comes in huge bottles you can sploosh about, and makes me feel so clean and fresh (but not like a toilet product haha!). It's also been in production since at least 1799 and is one of the oldest perfumes in the world which I find very charming.

Another vote for 4711 - a classic. So fresh - my go-to summer perfume!

Eau Sauvage aftershave used to have a lovely citrus smell x

I always buy the huge bottles of cologne in Europe. And love 4711. Big splash after shower. Think they do a body spray which lasts longer than the cologne. Top tip, tissues folded up in ziplock bag, add lots of cologne, et voila, perfumed wipes.

My favourite is Dior’s Escale à Portofino.

This is quite a bitter lemon so even though I love it I do sometime worry people might think I've been drinking when I wear it.

And all the talk of 4711 has remind me I took a solid perfume stick of that when I went interrailing in 1990. Happy days!
