Fragrance was £185 last year, not £165. My aging eyes!

I reviewed the Harrods fragrances each day and if any were not for me I sold them on and any from the Liberty calendar and managed to cover the cost of my fragrance calendar. I still had about 9 or 10 left that I liked to use and have since purchased a full size bottle of one.
I have an alarm set for Tuesday.

The Harrods fragrance looks nice and will sell out v quickly again. The beauty calendar does hang around longer - I definitely waited a bit last year (ordered 9th Sept) so I could spend more time comparing to others.

Now this looks amazing I think this may be the one!!

I had Lumene a couple of years ago when it was reduced to £50. It was good value but the items were nearly all tiny, and I was allergic to most things 😆😆

I was googling for info on the Harrods Beauty Advent Calendar and came across this chat. You all sound like my kind of people, so I’ve signed up to join in! 😄

I’ve had the Harrods calendar for the last two years and absolutely loved them both for the skincare products. I had the John Lewis one the year before that, which was great too. I’m already getting so excited seeing the 2025 releases starting to appear! 🎄💄

I do wish the Harrods main one also had a shampoo and conditioner, just one calendar that did it all. I know they have the extra calendar which includes hair stuff, but I think if I was going to get another calendar, which I don’t think I can stretch to this year, I think I’d be tempted by one of the fragrance calendars! 🫣

Some of the others seem to offer more variety, but I always find myself drawn back to Harrods because the skincare is just that good. Would love to know what everyone’s considering this year?

I saved up Beauty Drop vouchers all year for the Liberty calendar then decided I didn't like it enough so spent the vouchers on other things. 😂

Top of my interest list this year is Harrods beauty and fragrance followed by SpaceNK. Runners up are Selfridges, Harvey Nicks and Sephora. I suppose until they release you don't know which you will like best. It's very subjective.

Has anyone tried the Sentier one before? Is it any good?

I’m saving BD credit for Liberty and that will be my one and only. Unless there’s another crazy bargain like the Ciate one a couple of years ago! Or the sock discount, also a couple of years ago.

I would love a Trinny one. She is a huge inspiration to me…

I suspect Sentier of being a dodgy brand like Avant or maybe Dr Botanicals. You never see them in shops or on good websites. I never read reviews of them. They seem to exist to inflate the price of beauty boxes.

Avant's a fucking joke! They claim their face/ eye creams are worth £80, £90 but they are lower- mid range if that and only ever appear in beauty boxes, whar a con.

I'm wearing a pair of the socks today from the sock one a few years ago. That was a brilliant bargain.

The Valaya is likely to be 30ml, An jo malone maybe 50. I read there will be full size Roja too and the cost will be 215gbp this year.

@OchonAgusOchonOh I remember the sock one and then feeling very guilty when I had the email to say it had been priced incorrectly but they would honour the price. As I didn’t need 12 Christmas socks I donated 6 new pairs to the charity shop.

My dd got most of them.

The email was definitely guilt inducing.

That’s quite a price increase this year. I’m not surprised. I wonder if it will be similar with the beauty one- 250 up to £275 is my guess. I hope I’m wrong!

I'm marking my place. I've become obsessed with beauty boxes in general this year so I'm excited to buy my first (and likely second) beauty advent calender this year.

I am uncertain about Harrods, if it's the new Valaya I will jump in. If not i will have to think about because I don't like oud or Rose Patchouli combo and can not stand Oud. I sold most of the items from last year advent.

I'm not a fan of Oud so not sure I'll be buying it. But fomo is real 🤣 I had it in my basket last year and i didn’t click buy. When I'd decided a few mins later it had gone. 🤷🤣
I kept looking for it to be back in stock but never came back in.

Will we get the full reveals of the Harrods calendars today?
