Yes they did. I thought the Harvey Nicks calendar was actually better than Harrods.

I am desperate to get the Harrods fragrance this year after missing out last year. Can anyone remember when it went on sale? I seem to remember there being a wait list that I also missed out on?

Checked my emails and my order date was 7th August. I was caught up in the mayhem though and had to re-order so not sure if that's the first or second order (only a couple days apart if I remember correctly).

I feel like it was September when pre orders opened but not 100% on that.

Blimey I was a month out. Didn't think it was that early. Not that far away now!

The advent calendars went on sale in the store in 1 September - the memorable day when customers were rolling round on the floor fighting to grab one of the fragrance calendars 😆

Oooh that was bad - what a kerfuffle. I didn’t get f&m last year and really missed it. Hoping they do fewer odd filler products this year - no scrunchie!

Following! I wasn't planning on getting one last year due to the ridiculous amount I already had, but Space NK was too good to resist. Just checked and I've used or am using 20 of the 35 items, which is a good use-up rate for me. I've also discovered 4 or 5 items that will be repurchases/holy grails for me.

I've never had Selfridges or Harrods so they're on my watch list, but JL is always good value and full of items I'd use so who knows?

I didn’t buy a single ac last year (had purchased a few the year before plus numerous beauty boxes during the year) -I’ll be honest, it was tough not to succumb.

Ive only made one beauty box purchase this year so feel I’m due a treat. I’m looking forward to all chat

Well we've passed the summer solstice so I think advent calendar chat is fair game (and no doubt my local Home Bargains are only weeks away from baubles on the shelves!).

I was gifted M&S last year, first time I'd had it. I know there were grumbles from some who had it in previous years but I liked it overall and would consider buying it again myself this year if M&S do one and online buying is back to normal.

It's never too early to start talking about advent calendars imo 😃

I had the Harrods one last year for the first time after cult beauty and liberty. It was very high end and really enjoyable! I can highly recommend. Just means I am spoilt for this year

I rejoined Beauty Drop to get Liberty again this year as it missed not having it last time. I’ll also try for Harrods fragrance again. I had that and HN fragrance last year, Harrods edged it for me but I loved both.

Looking back I purchased the Harrods Fragrance on the 7 August in the evening as I remember coming home from a meal seeing the talk on here and quickly purchasing it.
I treated myself to a full size bottle of the Amouage Guidance after trying it and I get lots of compliments.

I had liberty last year loved it even the box was amazing. I bought look fantastic for my dil and she was very happy with that. I’d like to get the men’s look fantastic one for my DS.

I’ve made my decision already! Temple Spa £200. My friend who is also my local rep is doing a £50 per month payment plan for the next 4 months. I’ve not had any TS stuff for a while so I’m excited!

I got John Lewis last year which I did really like to be fair. Some good products in there.

Ooh I am joining this post. Has a few beauty calendars over the years but don’t last year and really felt I missed out. The threads on here are all part of the fun too. So without a doubt I will be getting one this year!

Hi there, long time lurker posting for the first time. I've loved watching & learning from all these chats. So thanks to all the regular contributors!

This year (having been made redundant) I'll be sticking with Liberty as I have enough money saved up in my beauty box fund to buy it outright - hopefully anyway 😀

I'm looking forward to all the discussions & comments in the coming weeks!

Signing up. Looking forward to the Space NK contents reveal, have been coveting that one for the last couple of years.

I had John Lewis last year. It was probably a good choice as everything was very usable for me, but it was quite heavy on the bath oils/perfume/home scent side, less skincare. I think I’ve already managed to use up most of the skincare from it, which is quite impressive given the size of my skincare stash 😆. (I haven’t used the Sunday Riley Luna retinol oil yet though, no idea you’re supposed to do with that.)

@CorneliaStreet can you remember when SpaceNK did a reveal last year?

I'm hoping we start to get some hints soonish. My intention is to get Liberty as I have the BD credit saved but I'm not committed to it fully if I prefer another one. I can always use the credit on xmas gifts instead.

I'm expecting to want SpaceNK or Cult Beauty but they all seem to vary year on year and of course what constitutes a 'good' calendar is subjective.

@OvaHere SpaceNK full reveal was on 20th August last year. I think ReallyRee had it first.
