Sketchers pull on - a trendy alternative

Right, I've peaked—my comfy Skechers have to go. I've seen a lot of older ladies wearing them lately, and while they look great, I am at just 50 and really do not want to be put into the older lady category yet (I know this is on me and my attitude to ageing). However, I really need the convenience of pull-on sneakers, so are there other more stylish brands that I should check out?

You’re noticing older women wear them. Older women know a thing or two, don’t they.

you could start noticing all the other age groups that also wear them. Have a look!

I thought the Skechers slip-ons were aimed at the elderly or those who have difficulty bending to do up laces? They are certainly very popular with retirees I know.

No they are specifically aimed for me, a 41 year old with a toddler and school age kid who doesn’t have the patience to tie up laces when it comes to the childcare and school drop off 😂

I had converse for a while, looked trendy, feet were sad.

Doesn't everyone sit down to put socks on? And crouch for low cupboards?

What do you mean by crouch? I squat to get things out of low cupboards.

I’m 63 and won’t wear Skechers-for a start the footbed is too soft and swampy. I wear Salomons shoes for work-on my feet all day-and put an insole in my trainers.

Thought I'd highlight that all trainers can be converted to " slip ins" with elastic laces.
Cheaper than buying a new slip on pair

Years not the only difference with the Sketchers ones. The backs are built so you don't need to use you hands.

On your recommendation I bought some for my converse. I LOVE them!! They're not quite slip in like the sketchers but very easy get on. But mostly I love that the laces are in the 'right place'
