Feel free to join in or offer suggestions.

My life would be complete with a short sleeved chocolate brown boxy fit yet fluid T-shirt.

I have something very similar from COS, have you tried there?

Thanks! Just looked. Nothing suitable this season, will try eBay/Vinted. I did like their belted linen one but (a) cropped and (b) not looking for linen at the moment. Lovely though.

A raincoat with a large hood. Like Obi Wan Kenobi size.

TheFatCatsWhiskers1 · 11/05/2025 16:35

Jeans and trousers that don't gape at the waist while being too tight at the hips. I've got to send yet another pair of trousers back for this reason.

Mosaic123 · 11/05/2025 16:37

Clothes that fit me beautifully. This would involve having a dressmaker to make them from scratch or a person that was brilliant at alterations.

Trinny has a lady called Esusana who does miraculous work.

I'm 4ft 11 and a bit.

ViciousChicken · 11/05/2025 17:01

A pair of cropped wide leg jeans in a petite length that are NOT high-waisted.

that very dress is sitting in my cart, I just got a kimono style wrap belt that I can picture cinching in a big oversized shirt dress. But whilst I can imagine it looking awesome I equally know that in real life I can’t be trusted with so much white!

I love the sound of that! Try Zara for cotton shirt dresses. I have a burnt orange one from last Summer (that could look fantastic with an obi belt).

Try Kettlewell.

They all look a bit fitted for the look I’m going for at the minute. I always forget about this site though.

Shower gel that smells like Nuxe but isn't Nuxe

Look for anything that says neroli on it.

Are you my mum, OP? (I know you're not, btw, she's not on Mumsnet, hence I am free to say what I'm about to say). She has been bugging the life out of me because she wants a chocolate brown T-shirt/top. I have shown her the one on the COS website, but when she finally came round to it, it was sold out. I showed her some chocolate brown linen/knitted tops in Massimo Dutti. Not right either. We looked through the Sezane offerings, but 'camel' won't cut it.

The annoying thing is, once we track down this elusive item, it will join the rest of the nice things in her wardrobe that she barely ever wears, and she will be obsessing over something else. Ditto new make-up...

So why doesn't the COS one suit you??

No I’m definitely not your mum. Can’t for the life of me see the Cos one but I may have found what I want on Uniqlo. Just got to go and try my daughters airism t against some silky trousers (also Uniqlo) for texture match.

A soft jersey, wide leg, full length, short sleeve black jumpsuit. Ideally with a tie belt. Not smart, not full casual, just throw it on for the day.

Not linen, not whatever passes for fabric from Boohoo and the like - nice flowy jersey type fabric.

I had the perfect one from Monsoon but it died and I cannot find a replacement. I want 32” so I’m too tall for most standard high street and not tall enough for Long Tall Sally 35” legs.

Edited

Might this work for you?

….a fair idea of what to wear as MOTB in four weeks’ time!

The perfect eyebrow. Too scared of microblading and fed up pencilling them in.

And nice, long legs. I often wonder if life could’ve been different if I was tall and willowy 🫣

Handmade shoes or even sandals designed to take into account my cerebral palsy and my gait. I wear boots all summer.

I mean ideally I’d have a bespoke wardrobe of clothes as they sit differently as well, but I’ll stick with shoes I don’t fall over (just as well my spastic side doesn’t feel as much pain 🤣)

Thanks! Too short sadly and I want a plain one, so the silk side stripe isn’t what I’m after.

Honestly I swear there were hundreds of these bloomin’ things around last year! I’ve found a Joe Browns one on eBbay so crossing fingers for when that turns up…

Yes, it would. You wouldn’t be able to find a sodding black jumpsuit that would make your life compete 🤣🤣

My life became more ‘complete’ once I realized I don’t need a purchase to make me feel better. It was a freeing feeling

I really want to get into this mindset.

A pair of cropped wide leg jeans in a petite length that are NOT high-waisted.

I got some normal waist wide leg crop jeans from New Look last year, style Adalae - only a few sizes left now.

Or these from Next look normal rise and come in Petite?

Size 17 jeans- thought I'd found the perfect pair but after an hour if wearing them, the waist is too big. Have fibromyalgia so don't want the faff / feel of a belt. Also, Next did the perfect black linen trousers about three years ago. The don't do them any more. Also dresses that are a 20 on top for a large bust and 18 on the bottom ( or a size 19!). Finally a dress that hides my belly without looking like a tent

Shetlands · 11/05/2025 20:58

My life would be complete with a vintage three strand, South Sea pearl necklace in graduating sizes with matching pearl & diamond drop earrings (not small ones!).

For anyone 5’ ish wanting a flattering, barrel leg (well almost barrel leg) trousers, can I recommend giving these a try?

I nave them in khaki (which is more of a brown) and black. I got tne xs. I’m UK 10, hourglass and these look like they’ve been made for me. They’re a linen/cotton blend and don’t get really creased like 100%linen. Disclaimer, they’re a new purchase and the khaki which I’ve worn are in the wash and haven’t been through the machine . I hope they wash well because they are the only barrel style trousers that I’ve not looked like a complete clown in and I’ve tried a fair few.
