Yeah, my left foot in particular.

But you said the right trainer in your post!

This looks divine but can’t say if it’s soft. Aldi maybe a little long? I can’t be trusted in that much white lol. www.arket.com/en-gb/product/oversized-shirt-dress-white-1224874006/

that very dress is sitting in my cart, I just got a kimono style wrap belt that I can picture cinching in a big oversized shirt dress. But whilst I can imagine it looking awesome I equally know that in real life I can’t be trusted with so much white!

A cool looking hooded raincoat or trench - kind of in style of Rick Owens. Impossible to find.

A warm beige dumpling bag which can be worn shoulder or clutch - can only find cool neutral ones that clash with my soft autumn colours.

The perfect blonzer in cream form - would love a dusty rose/medium bronze hybrid creamy one that doesn't transfer/pill.

Ref. Bronzer - may I suggest Stila cream blush in Peony, the compact. Large M&S stores often have them to swatch.

My life became more ‘complete’ once I realized I don’t need a purchase to make me feel better. It was a freeing feeling

Same here. Lasted until the next payday. Completely cured with a pay rise.

Floisme · 11/05/2025 07:25

The perfect linen suit from Next, last seen in my wardrobe just before a house move in 1998 (miraculously sized up a fraction would be nice too).

Flamingoknees · 11/05/2025 07:30

A white dresser and the kitchen to go with it.
A stained glass window
A grandfather clock

Shardlake63 · 11/05/2025 07:50

A pair of the new, on trend, barrel leg jeans/trousers. They look so comfortable and practical.
Unfortunately, at only 5ft tall, all the ones I've tried make me look like Charlie Chaplin, even the petite ones.😞

IsItAllRubbish · 11/05/2025 07:57

I’d really like a pair of Doc martens Chelsea boots but only if they are comfortable to wear and I cba to go to a store at the moment. Also can’t afford them.

Caterpillargirl23 · 11/05/2025 08:13

Lipsticks my lips arn't senstive to.

Hi @AguaMinerale I’m looking for a blush too, and this looks lovely - do you happen to know how the compact version differs from the stick?

LunaTheCat · 11/05/2025 09:50

A celine handbag.

FeyreandRhysand · 11/05/2025 10:06

@Shardlake63 have you tried the TU ones? Not the relaxed ones, just the regular barrel leg TU jeans in short length 🤞

Try Kettlewell.

TheOGCCL · 11/05/2025 10:46

Thank you but still not short enough! And that style not great on short legs.

Get a Dyson Hairwrap - it will transform your life!

Tempting, always seems such a gamble!

The introduction of size 11 ☺️

This! 100%.
Particularly for jeans.

zeibesaffron · 11/05/2025 12:21

A beautiful slimming dress that fits my bust (38jj) and makes me feel fab!!

There are loads of dresses about I love but in some I have to go up to a size 20 to get the ‘girls’ in!

Nail varnish that stays on.

Bras my size being available in mainstream shops which don’t cost a months mortgage 😀😀

I love this thread thank you OP

Are you my mum, OP? (I know you're not, btw, she's not on Mumsnet, hence I am free to say what I'm about to say). She has been bugging the life out of me because she wants a chocolate brown T-shirt/top. I have shown her the one on the COS website, but when she finally came round to it, it was sold out. I showed her some chocolate brown linen/knitted tops in Massimo Dutti. Not right either. We looked through the Sezane offerings, but 'camel' won't cut it.

The annoying thing is, once we track down this elusive item, it will join the rest of the nice things in her wardrobe that she barely ever wears, and she will be obsessing over something else. Ditto new make-up...

So why doesn't the COS one suit you??

BigSkies2022 · 11/05/2025 14:38

SoScarletItWas · 10/05/2025 11:37

A soft jersey, wide leg, full length, short sleeve black jumpsuit. Ideally with a tie belt. Not smart, not full casual, just throw it on for the day.

Not linen, not whatever passes for fabric from Boohoo and the like - nice flowy jersey type fabric.

I had the perfect one from Monsoon but it died and I cannot find a replacement. I want 32” so I’m too tall for most standard high street and not tall enough for Long Tall Sally 35” legs.

Edited

I have something very similar from COS, have you tried there?

BigSkies2022 · 11/05/2025 14:40

Have just realised my two posts make me look like an agent for COS, but I am a lazy shopper and tend to stick with what I know. Threads like these are great because they get me looking elsewhere. I'm hopeful that Kettlewell will produce the goods for my mum! so thank you to that poster.

Fairyliz · 11/05/2025 14:44

A simple cotton jersey dress with a v neck in a plain bright colour.
Sounds really easy doesn’t it; but they all have round necks, or come in a ditsy floral print or feather/dog print, or are wishy washy colours.
