Oh closed toe summer where art thou

First up, confession: owing to a savage stubbing, I have a manky toenail that I wish to hide from the world this summer, until it heals.

So, I need a pair of closed-toe summer shoes/sandals to wear to the office/casual, to the pub etc. I have other shoes for beach, walks etc and I’m not looking for ballet pumps (too thin-soled) or trainers (too hot).

Dont mind an open back but need to be practical enough to walk in. Any hardware must be silver-toned.

Anyone seen anything?

Also look at clog sandals; I like these, and have seen similar at other shops.

I have dreadful bunions so need closed toes and have just found a gorgeous pair of blue suede wedges from Jones... Bought for a wedding, but will make lovely 'ordinary' shoes.

Ooh they're nice but unfortunately only in pink or black. It's tan I'm after. I can spend £199 (if I have to) as a present for me for securing a new job!

They have an open toe but your nails aren't visible.

Just go to a nail salon, they either cover the area with gel paint or add an acrylic nail on top, have a pedicure and have them all done.

Was talking to a friend's daughter who's in fashion and marketing. The big thing to wear with summer dresses this year will be cowboy boots. I laughed asking Yellowstone influence. Apparently yes. So if you've any pairs gathering dust 😁

Our neighbour's DD had a 15th birthday party and ALL the girls had long wavy hair and were dressed in little strappy tops, tiny ruffle skirts, and cowboy boots. They were all dressed so similarly I thought it was a costume party but apparently not - they had all been to the taylor swift concerts.

Mmm, I have a pair if cowboy-type boots which I never wear. Do I keep them to keep fashionable or sell them and take advantage of this trend?
