They're in my shopping basket in pale blue. I want the little badges to put all over them.

Arrested development? Or practical holiday attire?

Crossed posts there! I guess that's a no then.

KashaSarrasin · 12/05/2008 11:54

I have some, but only wear them in the house or on the beach. Incredibly comfortable if you wear them with socks, but without socks my feet completely cook in hot weather or freeze off in cool weather. Crocs + socks = not a good look IMVHO...

Depends what sort of holiday you're going on really - camping or beach you could get away with it, maybe

cheesesarnie · 12/05/2008 11:55

ok i'll take the children, you have a rest.

i now have vision of short round fairy in crocs with those little things all over them.

im little too but would feel like a twit

Enid · 12/05/2008 11:55

i wear mine to do the school walk quite often

lucykate · 12/05/2008 12:00

i wear mine on the school run. yes, they are ugly to look at but they are really comfy, and my feet don't sweat in them.

aquababe · 12/05/2008 12:01

they are great on a boat
never on land

lucykate · 12/05/2008 12:02

i think an adult can just about get away with them by avoiding the garish colours, mine are brown mary janes and quite discreet looking

Sunshinemummy · 12/05/2008 12:03

I love mine. They are so comfy.

cosima · 12/05/2008 12:05

oh mumsnetters, you do amuse me!! all this slating of crocs and everyday there is a thread about Boden! I mean, Boden! its f**ckin RANK! I'm logging out now, quick. so you can't reply

cheesesarnie · 12/05/2008 12:07

i dont do boden for adults either(admitably i never look as dont do my size)but i do for children(only second hand though,im not paying £40 for shorts

Gobbledigook · 12/05/2008 12:07

Yes

BUT - it depends on who is wearing them and what with. Sounds mean I know but they look naffo on some people and fine on others - imo anyway.

Jibbits are a no-no for adults though.

Gobbledigook · 12/05/2008 12:09

Agree - brill for camping and school run (especially wet summers like last year). I wear mine under wide leg jeans so you can only really see the front of them. THey look a bit silly with shorts I must admit.

Lulumama · 12/05/2008 12:10

i wear them, the caymans and the mary janes, with one daisy jibbitz on the mary janes

cos i am too old to care if people think i look fugly

Enid · 12/05/2008 12:10

they look fine on me with jeans

I wouldnt wear them in town though

Gobbledigook · 12/05/2008 12:12

They are the best invention EVER for kids - they are fab.

PeachyHas4BoysAndLovesIt · 12/05/2008 12:12

Camping and beach OK I agree

maybe when heavily PG (I didnt but considerd it)

Deffo in maternity wards as better gripping shower shoes

I have a pair and wear them for school runs etc. I don't much care what people think tbh as they are so comfy and easy to shove on. They also can be washed and don't stink like alot of shoes. When I first saw them, though, on a middle aged woman, I though they must be some sort of orthopaedic shoe!!

Agree they are fine with jeans.

Great for kids - even though dd says they make her feet hot and sweaty.

Wish I could buy some but my feet are too narrow.

cheesesarnie · 12/05/2008 12:16

i agree comfy isnt good enough

Mercy · 12/05/2008 12:16

They are chumfy then.

Kewcumber · 12/05/2008 12:17

no - but I wear them anyway.

Contrary to what Cod says - comfy is enough. Comfy is EVERYTHING
