Leggings - and what to wear with them

Following on from an earlier post from another OP about leggings - I have ordered some 😀

When I used to wear them I used to wear oversized t shirts and felt frumpy.

How do you style your leggings? quite like the idea of maybe an oversized shirt over a vest? But I have no clue?

Would you wear with boots or trainers? A long cardigan. I want to be able to go out in them, maybe to supermarket, maybe for coffee or a cheeky glass of wine, so maybe smart casual?

Well, leggings arrived from Amazon and I am well impressed, 3 pairs for £21.99, they are not see through. I am a size 12 and ordered L-XL and they fit perfect and they are lovely material. Definitely going to be ordering in a different colour. Just need to go shopping for some tops to go with them

They are the best leggings. Forget paying the equivalent of a weeks shopping on them because they are a named brand.
These are the softest, non bagging, non piling, non see through leggings. And they wash amazingly well.
I found them through the recommends email and as so glad I did.
Wear them however you like so long as you cover your bum. That's the golden rule with leggings. No one want to see leggings up the crack of your arse which is the current trend.

Remember when you used to be able to go onto ASOS and put in a celebrity and they would bring you up their fashion, was so much easier back then! lol

Yep. That was the entire point of ASOS originally- ASOS = As Seen On Screen- it was developed to tell you what the celebs were wearing and sold the same or replicas (I worked very closely with them when they were a start up). It was such a unique idea, I loved it.

Oh, forgot to answer your actual question 🤦🏻‍♀️
I wear leggings a bit too much. I love them at this time of year because I’m self conscious so can bundle myself up with a lovely baggy jumper and pair with chunky socks poking out of some Chelsea boots.
I might do a bit of layering with a long sleeve T-shirt and a Shacket over the top
I’ve never found a way to make a T-shirt and leggings look “good” but if it’s a T-shirt and leggings kind of day then that’s what I’ll do. I just prefer to make sure my bum is at least partially covered so will opt for a less fitted style of T-shirt.

Have to say that leggings and an oversized t shirt is my morning dog walk outfit, even though Im not a fan of them in general. They are a very practical bit of kit to have in your wardrobe!

I think Im not such a fan because I struggle to get ones that fit me as I have really big calves. Im always either struggling to squeeze my chunky Popeye calves into them or walking around with a baggy arse and thighs!😅

I wear leggings. Only black and none see through. Only with hoodies, sweatshirts or for the gym with trainers.

Never with tshirts or jumpers as I don't feel they are an outfit

Personally I dislike leggings under dresses or skirts as they look frumpy on anyone I've seen to date.

If they’re wearing them like you would tights (which is what I do, only with boots), how would you even know to judge them as frumpy?

maybe with shoes but that’s not what most people are saying
