I watched Black Doves on Netflix and there was Keira Knightley in my mustard yellow scarf. I bought it from M&S about two years ago, which must have been about when it was filmed. I don't look very much like Keira Knightley at all, but now, in my head, every time I put my scarf on, I look exactly like her and am on a spy mission!

There's an incontinence pad advert where a woman is sat on a toilet in a blue green Moroccan style tiled bathroom. I'd just tiled me kitchen with those.

I mean, on the upside, at least incontinence ads usually aim for a aspirational lifestyle aesthetic. Probably better than seeing your stuff on Eastenders in that regard.

One of my NCT classmates from decades ago was an actress who now has a steady job in an incontinence ad series. Slightly disconcerting when they started and I thought "where the hell do I know that actress from?" But now we always wave at her on the telly and say "Hi X!"

@Britpopbaby He and some friends bought it at auction after the film ... they just 'went to look' and ending up coming home with it!

Dorcas Lane the postmistress in Larkrise to Candleford had the whole tea set/dinner service thst I have a jug of. (I suspect my great grandparents or someone once had more of it, but breakages and passings down the line have meant I have only a jig.)

DI Kate Fleming from Line of Duty wore my black Fossil crossbody bag.

Mimi McGuire in Shamless was wearing my nighty - mine was in a smaller size

DH laughed until he cried - It was from M&S so I was surprised, I saw her as more of a Primark shopper.

I just googled, what a beautiful car!

Fab isn't it! I've searched for the ad but can't find it now. It was in the 80s and something like Kwik fit fitters with a sort of rockabilly theme even though the car was a 62 model & a blink & you miss it scene. I wanted a Plymouth Fury really but the Zodiac was a compromise. Nightmare to get parts!

About 15 years ago, I was watching Hollyoaks & got uber excited when I seen 'my' orange mandala cusions on the sofa. I still have these cusions 😅

About 20 years ago Liz Mcdonald from Corrie and I had matching tops 😎

BlackSwan · 21/01/2025 18:45

Sarah Jessica Parker wearing a half turquoise half malachite necklace in And Just Like That.

Also a knitted Sandro jacket worn by someone meant to be living in the 50's in the Ferrari movie with Adam Driver (obscure I know).

Susan Penhaligon in Bouquet of Barbed Wire had the same dressing gown as me, it was very glam, the sort of dressing gown you could swan around in. It was panne velvet and I must have had it for 20 years or so, it lasted very well. M&S at the top of their game!
