I watched Black Doves on Netflix and there was Keira Knightley in my mustard yellow scarf. I bought it from M&S about two years ago, which must have been about when it was filmed. I don't look very much like Keira Knightley at all, but now, in my head, every time I put my scarf on, I look exactly like her and am on a spy mission!

Emilia Fox wore a yellow jumper I own in Silent Witness.

Elaine118 · 20/01/2025 18:03

I know there's been a few because like PP it's put me off things. 😆
Most recent one was Linda from Eastenders in a t-shirt with flamingoes on I got from Oasis. It's got to be about 7 years old or so. I love it but don't wear it often as it has glitter on it I don't want to wash too much. Also she wore it last in December, so Walford must be more tropical than my neck of the woods. It's a summer shirt only for me.

pyewatchet · 20/01/2025 18:03

Ron Swanson on Parks & Rec was wearing the same L.L. Bean jacket I have, not my most glamorous item!

WellsAndThistles · 20/01/2025 18:04

Call the midwife use a baby blanket identical to one I crocheted for a family member, also seen it appear in Outlander.

Susannah Reid has the same summer M&S dress as me.

Nonsenseidiot · 20/01/2025 18:04

I’ve seen stuff I’ve designed on TV ☺️ things like random homeware on Hollyoaks (as that used to be my job!)

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 20/01/2025 18:04

David and Patrick had same IKEA bedclothes as us in Schitt’s Creek

CorporaINobbyNobbs · 20/01/2025 18:07

These grey and white ones

The Welsh lady (short hair, bald husband, her armchair is just in front of the kitchen door) on Gogglebox had the same White Stuff blouse as me. I loved that blouse and wore it til it went so thin it was see-through.

Jins · 20/01/2025 18:08

One of the contestants in the first series of Bake Off had the same dress as me. It was black and white and fitted with cap sleeves. It came from Sainsbury’s I think. One of the supermarkets anyway and it was dirt cheap.

i liked that dress but it was quite distinctive

Coronation St Mary wore a jumper of mine, went straight in the charity shop bag. ( it was a little bit twee, and I do adore her character).

Alex Drake · 20/01/2025 18:10

Yeah Gail Platt from Corrie wore the same top from Next that I had, I was only 30yrs at the time. Straight to the charity shop.

My old car in an advert. A film studio prop hire place bought it off me.

Was it a classic car?

MrsMoastyToasty · 20/01/2025 18:14

One of the women sitting on the sofa in the bingo advert (I forget which company) has a jumper like mine.
On Call the Midwife there was this fabric hanging up by the door in the Buckle's shop. I had curtains and bedding in the same fabric in my childhood bedroom. The fabric was an M&S design and wasn't available until the mid 70s

Samia Longchambon wore a dress I owned from Next as a maternity dress on Corrie. When I was actually wearing it.

  1. it wasn’t a maternity dress. 2) I wasn’t pregnant. 3) it went straight to the charity shop.
Snowmanscarf · 20/01/2025 18:15

Ben from outnumbered had the same tshirt as my son. It was green with a car in it. They were quite young then.

We had duvet covers in this material! Also in brown. And I agree - definitely mid 70s.

WallaceinAnderland · 20/01/2025 18:18

My cushions are currently starring featured in Traitors 😍

callmebuffy · 20/01/2025 18:20

Back in the days of Buffy, Spike failed to kill Willlow as she lay on my Ikea duvet cover.

JoanThursday · 20/01/2025 18:21

Back in the mid 90s, my mum was absolutely mortified to see her sofa and armchairs in Del Boy's flat in Only Fools and Horses.

It was a mid century G Plan suite - now she wishes she kept it!

Years ago Maria the Hairdresser from Coronation Street had my cushions.

You know how you get so used to seeing something that you don't really see it anymore? Well. I felt like I was seeing them for the very first time sat on her sofa. And realised how very very ugly they were. Gone!

DanceTheDevilBackIntoHisHole · 20/01/2025 18:22

In the early 00s I had a navy halter neck top that had a red roller skate on it and was from Abercrombie and Fitch and Buffy wore it in an episode. I was thrilled (big fan).

When Lily Allen first got famous she used to do that thing of wearing party dresses with trainers and I had a pink Marc Jacobs dress she used to wear too.

Ha ha. We both had Buffy stories!

Fgfgfg · 20/01/2025 18:25

This is very niche. The wallpaper in the hallway of Kathy Burkes flat in Gimme Gimme Gimme is the same as my mum had in the living room in the late 70's.

HereComesEverybody · 20/01/2025 18:26

We have a drinks cabinet that's in Monica's apartment in Friends!

TappyGilmore · 20/01/2025 18:26

Not clothes, but in the 1980s my family had the same dinner set as Sally and Kevin Webster from Corrie … in fact I think my mother still has bits of it.

More recently I’ve seen my bed sheets on an Australian TV show … I forget the name of the show … sheets that I bought in NZ from a NZ-based company which then expanded into Australia. This was some years after I bought mine.
