One advantage of most of my wardrobe being Toast, is that when I buy things elsewhere it all seems so cheap! My Cos barrel leg cotton trousers (as recommended by Angharadbjones on her blog) are perfectly lovely and ONLY £30!!!! If anyone has any sale shopping left in them, Cos have some really good things this time around

Maybe there will be more reductions tomorrow at toast? I'm off to look at the new stuff..

Cos barrel jeans are rather lovely too ❤️

mizu · 08/01/2025 21:55

I love both of those dresses too. I've been wearing the long Lydia black v neck jersey dress to work with a polo neck underneath in a similar vein, it's so comfortable.

Going back in to take another look if there have been a few more things added. Been a 12 hour day at work so have had no time at all!

OrangeyLemon · 09/01/2025 10:31

When will these further/final reductions ever happen? Come on Toast! 😃

TosstTastic · 09/01/2025 12:49

Space jumper is a keeper it has all the colours and slots into my uniform of thin, gauze top plus what my teens call sweater vest.

The silk shirt is going back, beautiful colour, hard to describe but if it suits you, it will light up your face. But realistically I am not a casual, throw it on for work followed by a dinner party kind of person. My industry is far too rough & tumble. Maybe in a future life.

TosstTastic · 09/01/2025 12:54

Space colours

That does look gorgeous!

Zeusrules · 09/01/2025 13:32

@@TosstTastic beautiful colours, I'd that the tank? I still have itchy fingers despite waiting for a couple of parcels.

I have been enjoying all the sales chat, although I dithered too much and by the time I had decided, everything I had had my eye on had sold out.

But all your sales purchases have sounded and looked lovely!

Some good customer service from Toast today though - a new season jumper (the wool cashmere in terracotta) had already sold out in my size online Sad) but an online customer chat told me which stores had some in stock - and one will be arriving at my house on Thursday, courtesy of a very polite and helpful chap at the Lambs Conduit store Smile

Which means I can now close all my internet tabs of inferior orange jumpers that I was reluctantly considering as alternatives!

On a non-Toast note, does anyone know when Margaret Howell are likely to start their sale?

I've had an email. MH sale starts tomorrow.

RockaLock · 09/01/2025 14:11

Thanks you for the heads-up, @VivienneDelacroix, I had the same email Smile

Although, I did make a couple of orders from Brora and Me+Em yesterday, so I fear I may have spent all my potential MH budget already(!) - a risk they take by going into sale so much later than everyone else.

MsDastardley · 09/01/2025 14:47

@TosstTastic I’ve got that tank, it’s fabulous. I had loads of compliments when I wore it the other day

Countmeout · 09/01/2025 15:08

Further reductions but not sure what.

BettinaInDenmark · 09/01/2025 15:30

Countmeout · 09/01/2025 15:08

Further reductions but not sure what.

Thanks for the heads up!

Looks like only a very limited amount of items are reduced. At least I think the only extra reduced items from my first sale order are the jersey trousers.

MsDastardley · 09/01/2025 15:38

Just seen there’s been a new drop. Nothing that stands out for me, which is just as well!

faustina · 09/01/2025 15:54

@Countmeout - thank you. The cotton linen canvas trousers I returned have been reduced. The matching jacket which was delivered today is the same price. Still making up my mind about it - it's nice, but as I already have similar, it will have to add something to my wardrobe and I'm not sure it does, except it is quite a nice colour. I suppose I'll wait till the cotton linen twill shirt arrives and see which is the nicest

ScottishMouse · 09/01/2025 16:03

My sale purchases are now oos, so I can’t tell if they were going to be reduced further. I am still dithering over the alpaca tank, i may still return that, so it is only really the onyx stripe dress. And possibly the Minako trousers which arrived today. They are so creased. I haven’t tried them yet though.

I really like so many of the new items - the navy linen Minako trousers, the navy linen shirt dress, the oat linen shirt, the pleated navy skirt, the denim smock, the ember kaia cardigan, the indigo twill vest, and the buttoned organic cotton dress. I think the dress would look great worn as a coat/jacket too.

Havung frozen my fingers off this morning, I have put the sale wool cashmere mittens in my basket and am considering trying some of the new things to make an order more worth my while 😆🙄

OrangeyLemon · 09/01/2025 16:04

Thank you @Countmeout I can’t see much that’s got any extra off. A bit disappointing but never mind!

faustina · 09/01/2025 16:37

I like the navy linen minako trousers too @ScottishMouse - and the navy linen shirt - also the gingham trousers look lovely and the shirt dress which looks identical to the crinkle one they did a couple of years ago

ScottishMouse · 09/01/2025 17:03

I bought the barrel leg navy linen trousers last year @faustina, but now I wish I hadn’t as the shape of the Minako is much nicer.

Stravaig · 09/01/2025 17:04

Just remembered one other Toast purchase right at the end of Dec - a Post Pass! I realised doing my '5 things' lists that a couple of items on my 'heart sings' list were actually quite small - the brass dove and the marbled planner - and I could possibly have directed some gift or eBay money their way but had balked at the extra for postage. So an investment in 2025.

The marbled planner reappeared briefly on sale - and I bought one! I just picked it up, and it is beautiful. It's undated, so I've set it aside for when my life and brain are hopefully more normal again. The paper is a lovely weight, so I might actually use it for an mini artwork/poetry daily practice of some kind.

(Can't do photos tonight, but this is the Toast one.)

The wee stripe socks are often on my wishlist, although pumpkin/plum were OOS before the sale. The new spring ones are gloriously verdant!

I love the shape of this new cord jumpsuit, be interested to see that on. Not my colour though. (I am relieved :)

I see a bunch of insta influencers are promoting Toast’s circle initiative - angharad jones, that’s not my age among them. I guess nobody is handing over their perfectly good Toast items for nothing then?!

Poplinskirt · 09/01/2025 18:44

My first parcel finally arrived-oh dear
Please look at the picture of this shirt and tell me why its going back !

Poplinskirt · 09/01/2025 18:47

The background was also brown, the one in the shop was a beautiful deep burgundy.
The silk was just floppy and awful.
Will stick to viscose crepe Gias in future

The tie neck shirt -ok but I know I won't reach for it.
Kept the socks 😂

IlovePond · 09/01/2025 18:59

Nice notebook @Stravaig - hope you feel better soon x

I sent back the Gia shirt In that fabric. The background was possibly somewhere between your and the glorious burgundy on line. The orange circles were really 'muddy'.
I appreciate that it's not a hard core production line but the difference was too great, shame because I had high hopes. But plenty more in the sale for me so onwards and upwards.
