Hey, is there anyone out there that wants to join me in a daily opening of the Look Fantastic calendar? Day One looks to be a good start!

What are peoples thoughts now we are more than halfway through the calendar? Would you go for a Lookfantastic calendar again next year?

No. I got the M&S one for £40 which has been better than this one. (I did like the candle and Mac lipstick)

Definitely! I've loved it and think it's great value.

Sayoonara · 16/12/2024 13:49

I opened it all a while back. I'm really pleased with it overall, I think I made the right choice of calendar.

There were some bits and pieces, about 6 of them I think that I wouldn't use but I resold them on Vinted. The rest of it was still worth £100 to me I think. I won't name particularly good boxes as they've not all been opened yet.

I think I'd get it again - probably not next year though. I'd like to try something different.

I've had Mac twice but not sure what else to go for

purplecomet · 16/12/2024 21:59

I use a powder so will use them eventually but I already have the same powder puffs (in a different colour) from a previous beauty box. I knew they were in there but not the best day for me.

Chickenwing2 · 17/12/2024 07:46

Todays is ok. A bit small. I will put it away for summer. Hoping the last week of the calendar is all the best bits Confused

MonkeyTennis34 · 17/12/2024 10:24

Apart from the big hitters....EL night repair, Sol de Janeiro and there's another one but I can't remember what it is....the 3 products were in the LF AC ad.

Apart from them, it has been a bit underwhelming.
I've also got the Next Luxury which I prefer so far but it was £80 more expensive.

I think next year I might just get an expensive one (John Lewis perhaps) and a more reasonable one..maybe Holland and Barrett or MacMillan.

Pickled21 · 17/12/2024 11:27

I have the ASOS calendar which cost me £68 when they discounted it and I would say I have probably enjoyed opening that one just as much. I would buy it again but not next year. I have the John Lewis calendar too but am saving that for Jadvent.

VillageFete · 17/12/2024 11:42

Disappointed in the powder puffs, however I have a teen DD who will be delighted with them.

At this stage, I preferred last year’s offering but we aren’t finished yet, so let’s see.

My favourite box so far has been the Medik8 toner.

I use sunscreen on my face in the Spring and Summer, so i’ve put today’s away.

XiCi · 17/12/2024 12:57

Not very exciting today but I use Tret so need sunscreen every day so it will definitely be used.

soberfabulous · 17/12/2024 14:28

LittleSF · 16/12/2024 09:56

One of the few who's delighted with the powder puffs - I use powder every day and have only ever bought the cheap Amazon version of these so looking forward to trying them.

I'm keeping one of the face masks for me and popping the other into neice's present.

Same! I've used powder every day since I was 15 and it sets so beautifully with these puffs.

I've loved the calendar so far. Really impressed. I travel a lot and they're all so useful.

Chickenwing2 · 18/12/2024 08:07

Ooohh todays is a goodie!! Colour isn't one I'd usually go for but excited to try!

NecklessMumster · 18/12/2024 09:28

Looks shiny/ metallic though, will have to try it out...

chloechloe · 18/12/2024 10:31

Ciaté blusher today - it looks like it’s trying to be a dupe for Nars Orgasm but is sparklier and pinker. As I have a few blushers on the go, I will probably sell this on with a few other bits. But if anybody can report back on how pigmented and sparkly it is I may give it a try!

YouMeandBrie · 18/12/2024 15:01

Tomorrow is good! I know because I opened the wrong day by accident. 😑

purplecomet · 18/12/2024 20:23

Haven't posted for a few days. I don't really use blusher as I think it looks weird on me. Looking forward to tomorrow's!

VillageFete · 18/12/2024 22:11

Love the blusher. Perfect for the festive season!!

Excited to hear that tomorrow’s is a good’en!

mistymoomoos · 19/12/2024 07:21

Second day I've opened the calendar and nothing there! Last one they gave me a £5 refund, really not happy. I had the calendar last year and there were no issues. What did I miss? 😢

Oh no, it was another good one today. It's a 30ml Elemis day cream. Id ask them to send you the missing products!

Sayoonara · 19/12/2024 09:02

I'd definitely ask for quite a big refund. The Elemis moisturiser is one of the main expensive items in the calendar.

purplecomet · 19/12/2024 09:32

Yes! Really pleased with today. If its missing then they should send you the product, a small refund isn't fair when this is one of the more expensive products in the calendar.

Pickled21 · 19/12/2024 10:12

Definitely complain and ask them to send you the products. As already mentioned it is the Elemis pro collagen marine cream today and the cost of it makes up a large proportion of the calendar. A token £5 (if they offer it) isn't worth it, I would rather have the product. I did get my dh to check that there was something in each of the drawers, an influencer I follow recommended it.

MonkeyTennis34 · 19/12/2024 11:05

Super pleased with the Elemis cream, retails at £80.

I also got a Perricone eye cream from my Next AC today which retails at £87 😳

chloechloe · 19/12/2024 19:35

That’s really annoying @mistymoomoos I hope they send you a replacement.

This cream is really good and together with the Elizabeth Arden pretty much makes the whole calendar worthwhile for me! Very happy today, although I already have a day cream on the go so will wait for a bit before opening it.
