M&S beauty advent calendar unboxing!

It is good even without blow drying. Only needs a tiny bit!

I'm pleased with today's and looking forward to trying it.

Not a fan of face masks, will pop it in DIL's Xmas stocking.

Going back to the hair product, it lasts as well. I have woken up this morning with hair that is not frizzy and does not need straightening. This is a first. I am really impressed.

Not sure I will use todays as I am doing Skin + Me and don't want to add in too many other products.

I tried the tinted lip balm and its actually a really lovely colour on me.

I passed on todays to DD but I got a fabulous Elemis face cream from her in return!!

I was a bit ‘meh’ about the Living Proof product until I read you all rave about it so I will try it. My hands r has gone curly in menopause but I got it blow dried straight at the hairdresser today so I’m going to try and straighten it for some Christmas days out. I’ll let you know if it works!!

I used the red nail polish for my works Xmas lunch today. It's a lovely shade of red .

Not sure what the point of todays is :/

What a load of old shit today. I can't even think of anyone I'd even give that to.
Will either gather dust in the bathroom or go straight in the bin.

I knew this was coming - foot and leg spray - and don’t get it either! It looks like a nice brand with some nice products, so I’m not sure why the brand wouldn’t want to put something more mainstream in an advent calendar as presumably the reason they do it is to drive future purchases. Unless they had an overstock of this and couldn’t shift it any other way 😆

Overall though I’m enjoying the calendar and like the majority of the products. I do think it’s poorly curated, there doesn’t seem to have been much thought to the order and there are some products which are quite similar to each other. It feels like what they could get brands to give them rather than being thoughtfully put together. There are enough things I happen to like for that to be ok for me, but I’ve also got Holland & Barrett which I think is much better for a similar price.

It's been completely hit and miss.
I have had the Holland and Barrett one the last few years and they have been much better. I thought I'd be upgrading this year with the M&S one but will likely go back to H&B next year.

Yes there's been too many creams, I'd have liked more make up products mixed in.

I'm not fussed about today's either. I'm sure this spray came in the summer 2023 beauty bag and I used it then but it lasted quite some time. It's the kind of thing I have to force myself to use just to get through it.

Well not ever used one of these sprays (although when I worked in shops and was on my feet all day I'd have loved it!). Will give it a try

I was meh about today's one too. I've got one kicking around from either a box or beauty bag!! Don't know when you'd use it!!

I've had many advent calendars and beauty boxes, this wins the prize for the worst thing I've ever received. Don't get me wrong, I've had lots of things I have no interest in, but at least usually someone somewhere will like it. This is ridiculous. And even if it was a thing, I've had all my Christmas parties now anyway so no more need to 'mist my sore legs'. This will be the last year I get M&S!

I tried air drying with the 5in1 cream today and my hair feels fantastic, really impressed.

I have arthritis of the hip so my thigh muscles tend to hurt and this spray felt very nice.

My hair still looks great on day 3 . I will definitely buy it again

The 5 in 1 looks good but I am not sure I will find a use for the mist. Maybe in Summer?

Oh dear ....I go out clubbing a lot but still can't imagine bothering to use this spray 🙄

Really hope the last few days of this calendar are better!

Did it work like Deep Heat?

I've always hated it when people criticise these advent calendars because I think there will always be some things people won't use. BUT, fuck me this years has been absolutely awful. In previous years there has been stuff I've really loved- Nuxe moisturiser, Origins face wash, Emma Hardie decent size moisturiser for example. This year I've loved nothing at all.

This leg spray takes the biscuit and has pushed me over the edge to have a moan!

I used the Emma Hardie mask earlier and my god did it burn! I had to quickly rinse it off. I use Tret which I think has made my skin extra sensitive.
