Excited for this year as I didn't get one last year. Shall we say no spoilers before 7am?

Happy with today's offering and I used it in the shower this morning and my hair is now so soft!

I'm hoping there won't be more hair stuff though. Feel like it's been very hair heavy so far.

itsnothingoriginal · 09/12/2024 09:57

Great! Whilst not terribly excited by it (probably because we've had it in calendars before) it's really good shampoo for my fine, highlighted hair.

I'm guessing there will be conditioner to come....!

I8toys · 09/12/2024 10:17

Wow - Is this just for coloured hair?

Isitfridayyetsophie · 09/12/2024 11:15

I wondered how this one would go down when I opened it today! I’m really pleased with it (still would like a full size!) and I used it in this morning’s shower, hair feels lovely and smooth now. I’m hoping we’ll get the matching conditioner and then I’ll do a full wash with the dream coat and pop and lock balm I have too- I’ve not tried their shampoos before.

I was a bit 🤨 when I saw it was formulated with no conditioning agents, thought I might end up with a frizzy mess but it’s not at all!

bigTillyMint · 09/12/2024 11:39

I also thought that this might be for colour treated hair, but does it just lock in your natural colour?

GlomOfNit · 09/12/2024 12:02

Hi - late to this year's party! I've had a really stressful first week of December and actually forgot to open a couple of days from this calendar.

And I'm 'glad' that I'm in good company, thinking it's very underwhelming so far! 😐Last year's was my third M&S in a row and I felt the novelty was starting to wear off (I'm not really a consumer of pamper products but have found M&S calendars a good way to try things out and then follow up) but it was good. As someone posted recently, by this stage we'd had an amazing haul, and thinking back, at least 4 of those are things I've bought again since.

I already have pretty much ALL the Philip Kingsley hair tubes I've ever had out of an M&S! 😂 Agree: too much of a faff to pre-remember that you need extra shower time or to sit around with wet hair. The Aveda one is nice but I still had the last bit in last year's tube, in the shower rack.

Sorry to vanilla fans but that perfume made me feel a bit unwell. It's being offered to someone with a teenage girl as a stocking filler! Ditto the varnishes - strong agree that the nude shade makes you look dead, and I'm not a fan of blood-red nails (always makes me look down at my feet in confusion because I think I've injured myself!) and in any case I work with my hands a lot in a very messy craft and the nails are completely buggered!

So far, the shower gel is ok for me. I like Clinique so I'll give that a whirl. The tiny tub of facial moisturiser is ... ok? I've been using it instead of usual Oil of Olay and no breakouts, at any rate. Today's shampoo - I don't have coloured hair, will I get any benefit or is it best regifted too? At this rate I'm going to be keeping about 1/5 of the calendar!

GlomOfNit · 09/12/2024 12:03

dammit - since when did typing 'M&S' on MN yield an automatic hyperlink??

teacoffeeorpassthegin · 10/12/2024 07:18

No surprise today but am very happy!!

ThePoshUns · 10/12/2024 07:41

Happy with today, of to wash my hair now!

itsnothingoriginal · 10/12/2024 09:05

Well at least they didn't spin it out 😂

Good stuff though. Will keep for travelling as perfect size for a week's holiday.

HebburnPokemon · 10/12/2024 10:35

Happy with both of these hair products - these are my favourites so far.

ThePoshUns · 10/12/2024 10:50

Yes I like the hair products. I'm hoping for some make up, I have my own skincare routine so not so keen on those products.

Isitfridayyetsophie · 10/12/2024 10:57

Im also very happy with this, will do a full colour wow hair wash tomorrow!

genesis92 · 10/12/2024 11:04

I think there's always very limited make-up items because they are trying to please a broad spectrum of women with varying colours of skin and complexions?. It's probably quite hard to provide make-up items that suit all skin colours?

It's a shame cause I do wish there were less bloody hair and nail products!

Isitfridayyetsophie · 10/12/2024 11:08

@genesis92 yes I agree, inevitably when we do get make up it’ll probably be a black eye liner or something of that ilk. I now have about 7 eye liners, unopened, from various advent calendars/boxes! But I can see how choosing make up for an advent calendar would be difficult!

Bitchillywillytoday · 10/12/2024 11:25

Is this only for coloured hair?

midnightowl · 10/12/2024 14:18

I am happy to receive the shampoo and conditioner. I have never used them before but tried them today and they have left my hair feeling clean and soft.

Iloveshihtzus · 10/12/2024 14:26

I'm happy with the conditioner to match the shampoo. I haven't posted for a few days - I would have loved a bigger size of the Clinique cleansing balm!!!

GettingStuffed · 10/12/2024 16:30

These are going to DD who currently has purple hair.

bluebeck · 10/12/2024 18:33

Yes I am happy with the matching conditioner but really hope there’s no more hair products!!!

Hawkerslife · 10/12/2024 19:39

My favourite product so far has been the clinique cleansing balm. I really don't want anymore hair products.

Some more skin care would be better, cleaners, toners, a night cream, an eye cream etc.
