It is one sleep away! We’ve all been very patient, since Liberty London revealed their advent calendar in June this year.

Reveals from 7am GMT each morning please. This is to harmonise discussion/shift work/different time zones.

Last year there was a little roller ball of LeLabo Rose something-or-other and it was absolutely gorgeous. I looked up how much it was to buy again and I nearly died haha! I’ve been using it very sparingly but it’s definitely starting to run out. It’s even expensive on eBay. Poets of Berlin was also one I’d buy again but it’s out of my price range.
Today’s perfume is nice but it’s not one I’d buy myself. My husband just commented on how strong it is; you only need a little bit!

Yes, I liked the rose one a lot as well

I loved poets of berlin, and the peony one from the same brand the year before.

I don't love today's perfume but I do like it now that it's had a chance to settle on my skin. I was glad I was warned about the strength as I can see it would easily become overpowering

Funnily enough this is beginning to soften and remind me of Santal 33 - I'm a bit funny with perfumes though and they don't always smell the same to me as they do to my husband, perhaps I'm little scent challenged after covid!

We (extravagantly) both have liberty calendars this year and it's the exact same fragrance in the men's calendar, so it must be unisex. DH will get mine as it's a bit masculine for me but he likes it.

I've just woken up to this calendar by my bedside! I have an amazing dh!!! 🥰

Oh no 😢 I don’t like this morning’s item. I was so excited to open the first drawer, but it’s not for me.

I'm actually wearing last year's rose perfume today (love it), forgot it was from the AC!
Will try today's one tomorrow.

i’m a Chanel girl myself so will probably regift this one. Lovely packaging though. What’s everyone hoping for this year?

I haven’t tried spraying today’s as yet. Maybe I’ll try before my shower in case I don’t like it!

I'm away at the moment so can't open till later arghhhh! I didn't like Santal 33 so assuming this is a miss for me. My miss tho is my friends gain as she loves it!

I’m pleased with this morning’s - it’s a good start! Just need to get dressed to try it on me - I love having lots of different perfumes to choose from so this sort of size goes down well!

Todays is a little bit overwhelming for me. Think I'll be passing this one on unfortunately

Whoop! I woke up to the Liberty advent calendar this morning! DH bought it as a surprise.
I bought myself the space NK one but didn't tell him 🤦🏻‍♀️
I might see if I can resist and do the spaceNK one in January.

I've had a tiny squirt of the perfume and I'm impressed! A little goes a long way!

I have a feeling this will not be one for me although I do love Santal 33. I will spritz in store. May be one to pass on.

I quite like this morning's perfume. I'll try it properly once I'm showered and see how it lasts.

Ah yes very strong, but I’ve already sprayed it all over myself and my pjs. I think I’m allergic to LBTY Adelphi Sun so hoping not the same here. I must join other PP on reselling.

I think it’s a very strong first day, high value and fun. Something you can experiment with throughout December.

These threads are primarily for people who’ve got the calendar to open together and enjoy discussion, so the 7am has stood in previous threads and this one. There was some chat on it in the AC threads and people had different opinions, and as @aprillady wrote on the waifs and strays threads “I know there are mixed feelings on this, but many of us would really appreciate it if spoilers are not posted before 7am on the relevant day.”. Some people had thread previews that spoiled it for them for example. Some people opened their calendars and resold as soon as they received it, some people don’t have the AC and are enjoying the opening via this thread. Let people enjoy it. If you want to see earlier, there’s the link above by door day. So hope that’s enough on that!

I’ve completely forgotten what’s in it, so I’m really excited for the AC experience! I did take out three DoD (drawers of doom, doors of doom, days of doom, take your pick) in advance when I received it in August and I’m glad I did as I don’t think I would have forgotten things I didn’t want.

@GinandGingerBeer I am doing the Space NK in Jan! I couldn't decide which to do in Dec so I went for the Liberty. I am following the Space NK thread so I can look through that in Jan. Unless a JAdent one opens up.

Happy with the quality of door one, although not necessarily something I would choose for myself. I will keep it in the gloves box as an emergency.

It's definitely quite strong but it's unique and I'm hoping it settles down to a more subtle scent

It's calmed down 2 hours later but even as a lover of strong perfume and oud, this is a bit much. I think it's the violet mid notes that's making it not quite right for me.
