It is one sleep away! We’ve all been very patient, since Liberty London revealed their advent calendar in June this year.

Reveals from 7am GMT each morning please. This is to harmonise discussion/shift work/different time zones.

I keep forgetting to open a drawer when I wake and I then have to avoid the thread for a bit till I get back upstairs.

Anyway - I like an eye cream although REN wouldn’t be a favourite brand but it will get used.

I have lots of hand creams and bath oils which I never get around to using so today’s will get added to the stash. I should start using them really.

mynameiscalypso · 06/12/2024 07:59

I do need a new hand cream so I'm happy. I love AA bath oil so I will definitely use this but it's so tiny - there was a full size one in the JL advent calendar last year.

Waffles21 · 06/12/2024 08:20

I also need a new hand cream so happy. I’ve not used AA products so excited to use but yes it’s teeny!

Pollydollydoodle · 06/12/2024 08:30

This make of handcream was one of the things I repurchased last year. I have very dry hands and not only did it smell lovely it worked! I had so many comments every time I used it in the office. Hoping this one smells as good.

nearly61 · 06/12/2024 08:55

Very happy with the AA oil (Revive for me)- small but lasts for quite a few baths and does smell lovely.
Did we all get the same Verden scent of Herbanum for the hand cream or are there variations as I've tried a different one before but not this one?

Waffles21 · 06/12/2024 09:22

The qr code link seems to suggest we all have the same. Great to hear it’s so good!

mum2three48 · 06/12/2024 09:23

Happy today as I use verden hand cream and I'm nearly at the end of the one I'm using. Never used a bath oil before so keen to give it a try. The website says to apply to body before your morning shower.

supadupapupascupa · 06/12/2024 09:55

I have 5 drill sized AA oils, I use them in the shower, but I don't have this one (forest therapy is gorgeous!) I also have the atomiser and oils to match. So very happy with this sample.
Hand creams always welcome too!

jay55 · 06/12/2024 10:11

The hand cream is too scented for me but have people to pass this one on to who will love it.
And will totally try out the oil in a hotel bathroom

Buster27 · 06/12/2024 10:24

I love a bath oil so I'm pleased with that. Hand cream is always a bit of a dud for me, purely because I have loads of it already and don't use it much. Will try to use more often next year!

AnneShirleysNewDress · 06/12/2024 10:33

I use Verden hand cream so I'm really happy with that. The oil smells lovely but it's teeny.

Thanks for that. I noted it said bath or shower but was worried about it making the shower slippy. Maybe it’s ok if you apply to body first.

Bumblebeehum · 06/12/2024 12:28

Love Verden since trying it last year and rebought quite a lot.
Oil smells good, but I never remember to use stuff like this so will probably sit in the bathroom for a long time!

Yeknom · 06/12/2024 13:35

Wow! I'm so glad I found you all! I had no idea there were two products this morning! Completely missed the bath oil and looking forward to using it over the weekend! x

BakeOffRewatch · 06/12/2024 13:45

6th December! Our first Friday.

Verden Herbanum Hand Cream 75ml FULL SIZE
Value £25

I really like this hand cream. It’s very moisturising without being oily. I can taste the smell
though it’s very strong. This will get used up for me and is a treat. Definitely velvety as per the description. Very happy.

Aromatherapy Associates Revive Morning Bath and Shower Oil 9ml TRAVEL SIZE
Value £14 for travel size / £9.49 full size (£58 for 55ml)

The AA website has some proper instructions for this. Scent described as “Citrusy, resinous and woody”. Isn’t everyone else rushing around in the morning? I don’t think this is for my lifestyle at the moment. I need things that help me sleep not wake me up . It describes the emotional benefits as “a double espresso without the caffeine” - just give me the caffeine! It also says “You can dial up the benefits by cupping a few drops in your hands and deeply inhaling three times.” Saying that, I’m going to try it. Maybe it’ll set me right up for a day with toddler and baby. The reviews are good. So perhaps tomorrow I’ll join you for a 7am opening. I’m being a bit unfair on the AA, if I wasn’t on maternity leave it’s exactly the kind of thing I’d love before heading to work. www.aromatherapyassociates.com/products/revive-morning-bath-shower-oil-9ml

It’s quite a high value day. Something useful and something new to try. The hand cream only fits into the drawer diagonally. I feel like Liberty curate this in quite a thoughtful way where they try hard, might mean it’s repetitive year to year as they don’t try to innovate, but I’m really happy with it.

Pretty pleased with todays as I had run out of hand cream and bath oil. I love the smell off them too

GreatFinch · 06/12/2024 17:02

Very happy with the oil. I've popped the hand creme back in a draw that I pinched the contents from last month so will surprise myself with it again next week.
For the oil, I rub a few drops across my collarbones then jump in the shower and the water steams the smell up to you.

Wherethewildthingsfart · 06/12/2024 17:10

I use the oil in the shower by rubbing a couple of drops in my hands and tapping it on my chest.

I love Verden hand cream. Wasn’t last years citrusy? Is this?

spoeke · 07/12/2024 07:45

Anyone opened today’s yet? I’ve had a little spray and am undecided but still very much on the top notes (and the fact I already sprayed Le Labo’s Rose probably doesn’t help my nose either)… all I’m going to say is don’t look at the comments on Fragrantica - or do if you fancy a laugh 😅

GreatFinch · 07/12/2024 07:52

I'm not keen, I'd put it in the same style of smell as day 1, would of liked some variety.

Chickydoo · 07/12/2024 07:57

Not for me. I much prefer day 1's fragrance. This is way too strong.

Waffles21 · 07/12/2024 08:06

i opened the lid and wow it’s strong. Agree with @Chickydoo not for me, think it’s the first thing I’ll sell.

There's ~something that I'm really not keen on in this one although I don't know what. It's not very appealing though. I've sprayed some so will see how it settles.

The editor's notes are really quite hilarious:

The Other Room eau de parfum from Bibbi evokes the intrigue and exclusivity of a masked ball, where a mysterious, magnetic presence named Coq Rouge fills the room. An invitation to be your truest self, without inhibition, enjoy the moment and be free, in a crowd of masked faces surrounded by an intriguing fragrance of carnation and saffron, blended with a touch of patchouli and vétiver for an opulent finish.

Ohdear7 · 07/12/2024 08:19

Not keen on this, to me it smells like a room spray (pot pourri) rather than a perfume.
