It's a real shame about BBC. This is my 3rd purchase and I'd accepted it was more Home Bargains (as someone said) rather than Harrods. It would have been fine to keep it as a proper mystery box with no reveals or just actually say that the perfumes are samples and the Jurlique is any 2 full sized products. I think they would have sold out either way and avoided all this palava and bad will.

Anyway, I've sniffed all my CT samples.now; Calm Bliss is a standout favourite and the only one I'd buy in full size.

I’m be only ever ordered one BB box, earlier in the year. It was ok, nothing special. I ordered a Look Good, Feel Better box a couple of months ago. It was £50 and everything came boxed, including an Opi nail treatment worth about £20 and a full sized perfume worth over £70 that I’m gifting at Christmas. I’ve used all the other items. I’ll definitely be buying another next time they have one.

I’m horrified by this latest BBC debacle. I swerved this edit as have enough but am so glad. I shall also not be ordering from them again. I find dishonesty very unappealing and the CT/Jurlique false advertising is unforgivable.

What are the masks like? I may do one tonight!

How long did it take for people to receive replies from BBC?

Not sure if it has been mentioned, but Sephora do GWP with purchases for over £140, plus 10ish % cashback via Top Cashback for new customers. I have created a new account and paypal/honey applied a first toome buyer 15% code which worked 🎉🎉 not sure if that will invalidate my cashback, but it is showing as tracked for now.
The goody bag looks more decent than the Cult Beauty one, although the value is only £130z

I got my reply within about two hours too. I received an immediate auto reply and then at 6.44 pm I received their apology and proposal to refund 50% of the cost. The refund notification arrived on Saturday at 6.52 p.m. Apart from fibbing about me being the only person who had complained and removing my feedback, I think they handled it as well as they could.

I have had a response from Bridal Beauty, trying to excuse the samples we received by telling me they are the same ones you would receive in the discovery kit, just minus the box which I could easily purchase. No offer of any kind of refund, just the offer to return the box

Oh and if I return it then I will have to pay for postage! 😬

I wrote to BBC on Sat and got a reply this morning apologising and offer me a £10 refund and I keep the box. Can’t be bothered to send it back and I guess it’s ok for £25.

@pinkchampagne1 - that is rather a rude message from them, imo. We can all buy boxes, but it’s not the same and not what was indicated in the offer.

Btw: There’s people on another thread complaining about the same box and at least one poster has popped up to defend the company!

Under the 'false advertising' rules, they should be paying for postage. Point that out to them.

I felt it was rather a rude response too. I also don’t see why I should pay to return the box after already paying £5 postage for a box that wasn’t as described. I have just emailed them back to say as much and also that I wouldn’t be using the company again. 😡

I have PMd you with the outcome of my complaint.

I am wary now that they could be active on this thread and don't want to risk them reneging on what they agreed for me.

I would advise anyone who is not happy with the initial response to be persistent. I also think the person on the email front line is probably stressed and I will give them the benefit of the doubt that they are not always this rude!

Just to add I said it was misselling in my email and provided copies of the Instagram screenshots and what was provided and said I would not be paying for the return and under distance selling they would need to refund my postage as well.

Isn't it strange how they are replying differently to everyone!

I have found the posts about BB on the other thread and there do seem to be some very defensive posts as replies. Makes you wonder 🤔
