@ScottishMouse get well soon! I would ask HR if you can change your Annual leave to sick leave. Lots of places have a policy that if you’re sick during Annual you could swap it for sick.

AmethystMoonShine · 24/12/2024 08:14

I’m still waiting for dispatch emails for the two orders I placed on 22nd Dec and yet I had one yesterday for the order I placed early yesterday morning and I’ve had the Royal Mail email to say it’s being delivered on Friday. How on earth do Toast get in such a muddle? Getting nervous now those first two orders won’t be fulfilled 😕

ScottishMouse · 24/12/2024 09:08

Morning toasties from my hospital bed. Thanks for all the well wishes, haven’t managed to catch up on the thread yet but decided I needed a couple more things to cheer myself up but the site is so glitchy I can’t get an order through.
I have been given the ok to go home today so I’m delighted about that. In a lot of pain, but looking forward to a Christmas being waited on.

CoubousAndTourmalet · 24/12/2024 09:11

Hope you're soon safely tucked up at home @ScottishMouse
Best Wishes for a comfortable, warm and pain-free Christmas.

Stravaig · 24/12/2024 09:28

Toast are letting the barbarian hordes in! A sale section has just appeared on the publicly available site, no email to herald it.

ps. Reductions are not showing on my Saved list though, only via the Sale menu heading.

Glad you're heading homeward @ScottishMouse x

Gonegrey31 · 24/12/2024 10:17

Best wishes for a swift recovery and an easing of the pain ScottishMouse

Lagirl20 · 24/12/2024 10:34

Can you share a sale link? I can’t see anything on the main site

Netcam · 24/12/2024 11:34

CoubousAndTourmalet · 23/12/2024 22:27

You're a genius! Thank you 😘

Was hoping for Freya dresses but after me whining, they aren't even there 🙄
I am pondering the fine stripe linen dress and Kantha pinafore...

No news of one of my orders from 22nd although two others are coming on Friday and I am similarly anxious! Hope you will have a happy and pain-free Christmas at home @ScottishMouse

oddandelsewhere · 24/12/2024 14:21

@ScottishMouse I hope you feel better soon, and I'm glad that you are able to go home for Christmas.

Thank you@PrincessofWells and @Snowyowl78 for your good wishes.

I can't wait for my orders to arrive, just mildly disappointed that they didn't dispatch the full price one, bought on Saturday till after the sale one bought on Sunday.

faustina · 24/12/2024 15:09

I have one arriving on Friday and the other still not arrived at Swansea. Glad to hear you're getting home @ScottishMouse

Hope all the newcomers to the sale find something they want!

triggers34 · 24/12/2024 16:18

@ScottishMouse so sorry to hear about your recent hospital admission.

I was travelling all day yesterday and although invited to the sale early, by the time I could access , the Selma dress I wanted had sold out . Oh well . I'm fairly new to Toast and have ordered twice 1 full price dress and 2 sale items earlier this year.

Just a word of warning if anyone buys the graphic cashmere mix dress - I'm sure it is shrinking - the second time I've washed it and it's now snug across the chest . I'm very careful to follow laundry instructions and I've not gained weight .

I'm currently in Scotland just outside Edinburgh so hoping to visit the store whilst here .

Love hearing about everyone's purchases happy shopping , nothing else I want maybe the Freya if it's reduced !

Bimblesalong · 24/12/2024 18:24

Get well soon @ScottishMouse Hoping you’re as comfy as possible after Christmas and waited on hand and foot.

MulberryPeony · 24/12/2024 18:35

Yay, finally got a bandana. Really couldn’t countenance paying full price. Even at sale prices I baulked a bit but i couldn’t find cheaper ones I wanted as much as the Toast version.

QueenJaineApproximately · 24/12/2024 19:01

Hope you feel better soon @ScottishMouse, and Merry Christmas to all Toasties ☃️🎄

IlovePond · 24/12/2024 21:31

Hope you make a swift recovery @ScottishMouse ❤️‍🩹

Merry Christmas, everyone 🎄🎄🎄

IlovePond · 25/12/2024 09:23

🎄🎄🎄🎄

Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Merry Christmas!

Netcam · 25/12/2024 10:26

Happy Christmas 🎄 everyone. Hope you feel better @ScottishMouse and that you are well looked after. Just DH and I at home until 3pm having a lovely lazy morning. DS17 and 20 are coming back from their dad's later and we'll have an afternoon Christmas lunch.

ScottishMouse · 25/12/2024 13:04

Merry Christmas Toasties! Thanks for all your kind wishes after my operation. I got home yesterday evening and am resting. Poor DH is doing everything, which I know is how it needs to be for me to recover, but I feel so bad for him. He is such a trooper.
I took a pause from resting to open my first sale parcel which arrived yesterday (I had paid for express delivery as we were supposed to be going away in the next few days, but that isn’t happening now.)
It is mostly going back I think. The round hogla basket is kind of an odd shape, and even more so having been squashed into the box. I have quite a few of the other hogla baskets but this one doesn’t look that useful, which it would need to be at £50 in the sale.
The onyx stripe linen dress is crazy long. I also feel like it looks a bit of a mess where the skirt is gathered into the top part because the stripes get gathered in at different angles, some being very prominent and some hiding inside a gather. It might look better with an iron, but I’m not sure.
I’m keeping two pairs of Falke socks though 😆

faustina · 25/12/2024 14:54

Merry Christmas all! We are having a lovely and very lazy day and I'm glad all the trousers due to arrive here in my sale orders have elasticated waists. I think they might be necessary as I'm currently 98% Christmas cake. @ScottishMouse - hope you recover quickly - it is always frustrating to be told to do nothing especially at such a busy time!

IlovePond · 25/12/2024 14:55

Just popped on to say DH, (who has form for this), has excelled himself today. Imagine my surprise when today I unwrapped an old, quite tatty Toast tee that I had acquired at an exchange event in the summer, chucked in my possible eBay pile, and promptly forgotten about.

DH apparently found it a while ago and decided that I had bought it for him to give back to me at Xmas. It should have been obvious to anyone that it’s ancient and clearly been ‘well-loved’, to put it mildly, (not to mention, a bit grubby).

He won’t have it that he’s made a mistake, which is really adding insult to injury.

To make matters worse, I can’t find my GF pretzels and I suspect he’s eaten them.

I’d like to say I’m not sulking, but…

IlovePond · 25/12/2024 14:55

Glad you’re back home @ScottishMouse x

faustina · 25/12/2024 14:58

@IlovePond - oh no! Tell him he could instantly put that right by giving you a gift ecard! Hope you received other (nicer) things too

OftenOrange · 25/12/2024 15:47

Happy Christmas to all 🍸
@IlovePond I know how it is, mine is French and he thinks UK is crazy consumerville when it comes to Christmas , I don’t mind any more . Years ago when I was ill he gave me a very generous present , but usually it’s a chocolate orange and a tube of hand cream . That’s fine , we’ve been together for 40 yrs , and the many things that used to bug me no longer seem important .
