New diamond ring for myself

Name changed

Single mum by choice to 2 amazing 12 year olds
Had a very tough four years due to stress, poor health, and general depression which has been hellish
Am through it.
Kids just started at secondary school, and I get a bonus in October.
I want to buy myself a present to say well done for the last 13 years.

I've read loads about lab diamonds and would love a large eternity ring.

I wear a lovely ring on my right 3rd finger already which I don't want to move as it has massive emotional value. It lives there.

Qus.

What ring should I get?
Which ring should I wear it on?
Would it be weird to wear a ring on my left wedding finger? I don't care but many might think I've got engaged!?

All thoughts and ideas welcome 🙏

Tanzanite is gorgeous - the first ring in your 21.43 post yesterday - could be an Asscher cut sapphire or tanzanite ?

Are the coloured stones lab grown?

They always make emeralds too 'perfect' , 99% have clouding or inclusions which add to their charm IMO .

I replied last night with a link to the insta page of the lady who makes the rings I posted but it hasn't been approved. Is mumsnet restricting links to external sites?
Yes.its a teal sapphire. Stunning isn't it.

I.actually don't know of the stones are lab or mined. Will ask if she replies to me enquiry!

I got a platinum 3/4 lab eternity directly from China for an unbelievable price. £300! Not sure of carat weight - I bought by size for stacking purposes, so the diamonds are 2.5mm across. It's lovely! And the local jewellers grumpily confirmed they're real diamonds.

Would you share where from? I'm only after half a carat though !

I love buying rings for myself! Not sure why people get weird about it.

For ages, I obsessed on the Boodles raindance ring. Found lots of ‘inspired by’ on Etsy, but ultimately, I wanted the jewellery shop experience.

So, after an inheritance last year I booked an appointment and went in. Although I’d have loved one of the big ones, I didn’t have the room on my finger for it.

I came out with this - which they couriered over from another branch for me.
Love it! https://www.boodles.com/products/waterfall-half-hoop-platinum-diamond-ring

I know this is an old thread but that ring is absolutely beautiful
