@ChishiyaBat
I love those colours! I used to do wild colour things on my eyes but sadly any colour looks hard and aged on my eyes now I am in my 60s so I have to keep to boring browns and greys with the occasional mauve or green. But really it is all about lining my eyes so I can actually see them!!!

I'm 45 next month and I know i'm not going to get away with it for much longer, but I will enjoy my colours until that day comes. Bright Reds and golds really suit my eye colour, so i'm going to be really sad when I can't use them anymore.

I'm about to be 60 and have just bought hot pink trousers!

Today I'm wearing orange trousers.

Colour has no age barrier. I want to be like Violet Apfel and wear interesting clothes till I die. And then I want a bright shroud.

Deathraystare · 18/01/2025 15:37

I don't mind wearing colourful clothes just not bright colours around my eyes as it appears to age me. The only problem I have (and this may be too much TMI) is I am incontinent so when at work I try to keep to black or navy trousers if possible. I have some orange and some pink ones for 'non work' and a number of different colour t shirts. I am not sure about wearing blouses as it gets very hot at work (and where I am living at the moment) so I try not to wear anything too heavy etc on top.

ChishiyaBat · 18/01/2025 15:57

I wear black most of the time, I just love colourful hair and makeup.

Two more Vinted failures!

I shall be relocating them! They're hot pink trousers, one is too small despite being a size larger than I usually wear and the other pair is just tight, too long and too high rise. They go on and do up but aren't comfortable.

Chewbecca · 09/03/2025 12:30

Just bumping this thread as I got lots of ideas and positivity from you guys last summer!

I am actually trying not to buy too many new clothes at the moment, only shopping when I really need to AND want every item to be fabulous, not just ok.

My only recent purchase was a pair of wide legged cropped (but not v short) Tia jeans from White Stuff, they're very comfy.

Dollyparot200 · 09/03/2025 12:45

I really hope this thread takes off again I,ve missed it! I've been really ill with gallbladder stones and I'm off work but hoping to go back soon. Waiting for op on gb. I've just order a red dress of m and s and some wideleg linen trousers for summer to cheer myself up

I'm on a self-imposed buying ban! But I plan to shop my storage bags!

madaboutpurple · 09/03/2025 16:05

I went to Berlin in 2003 and found the Ullapopken shop. I was wanting to head to C&A as someone told me they have a big shop in Berlin. I got loads of clothes from both shops. A lot of Ullapopken can be bought on Vinted and eBay. They are stylish and really good quality. I have recently got a top, a cardigan and a gorgeous jacket all from Vinted. You are right Germans do have a great attitude to life. In the shop the staff were very helpful. All the best with your recovery.

I've just hit the mother lode of my storage bags - I could not remember where all my clothes had gone and was wondering if I'd sold/disposed of them in a moment of madness. Which I couldn't recall doing but y'know. Memory.

Looking for a space to stash something else and bingo, just found them!

That is funny! I am the same. I had some pale pink joggers (a change from my usual black/navy/grey). I actually wondered if I had left them in a launderette but went through a bag of sweaters and found them!

Hello friends how are we all? So glad I saw I had notifications from this thread!
im bored daft with the weather here currently, somewhat excited for summer!

I haven’t been using MN much recently, it gets a bit heavy for me at times but I’ve missed our lovely gang!

LettuceTruss · 16/03/2025 23:40

@TragicMuse would you have any idea where I might have put the huge suitcase with my summer clothes? (If we ever get a summer.) I can’t find them anywhere and this house is small! Will see if DH has put them in the loft.

I have a temporary job starting in a couple of weeks that requires me to dress modestly (calf length dress, shoulders covered, shortish sleeves, highish neck), so I have bought some dresses from Seasalt. I just hope I don’t look too much like a Sunday school teacher.

TragicMuse · 19/05/2025 12:50

I’ve been looking at the Manners London dress since last year. Finally got one on Vinted!

I went for the wider strap style in leopard print! ROAR!

Chewbecca · 19/05/2025 15:27

Hoorah! Mine (bought as a result of this thread) is going into its second season as one of my favourite summer wears.
I am still trying not to shop too much (sits on hands).

TragicMuse · 19/05/2025 16:42

I have high hopes!!

GoingDownDown · 19/05/2025 17:32

Ooh, this thread popped up for me, love it!

I too have been shopping the storage bags, I’ve lost a bit of weight recently, so I’m exploring my 20/22 stash. Turns out I have good taste 😂

Having said that, I mostly live in Global Mandala dresses at the moment. Colourful, fun, comfy, very forgiving if you go up or down sizes.

TragicMuse · 23/05/2025 21:31

My Manners dress has arrived, I’ve tried it on and I LOVE IT!

Now I’ll be stalking Vinted for more!!
