Fingered and minging is basically how I describe myself as a teenager 😂

I love online shopping, it suits me because I can do it at 3am when I can't get sleep!

Same, it's just so convenient and because you can't see it in person it's a surprise everytime it arrives.

Please may I join you? A friend said to me that I need to feel good in clothes now at the size I am not wait until I lose weight (been waiting 4 years ) and actually embrace my new peri size.
My issue is I have smallish boobs and a huge tummy so I am imbalanced. Not in proportion at all. All tips welcome and I'm reading with interest. Thank you for having me.

Welcome Polly!

Delighted you've found our wee corner over here!

We have so many diverse styles that you'll definitely find one of us has a gem to offer.

I'm have a similar body shape to you, the best thing i have ever done is gotten a really good padded bra. Primark used to have the most amazing 2 sizes up Bras but I've not seen them for years now sadly. But just looking more filled out up top did make clothes hang nicer on me.

What is your style?
Classic/quirky?
We also have a massive range of budgets here, so there is no snobbery which has been so lovely.

If you have a nose through the thread (and previous one) you'll see some of our posters have worn some gorgeous things this summer ☀️

Glad you're here with us as we move into autumn x

ChishiyaBat · 03/09/2024 09:23

Hello @PollyOrange welcome! I am also small boobed an bottom heavy, I look like a badly put together with the wrong pieces lego man, I find a top that accentuates my small shoulders and waist and a fuller bottom help to show off my good bits and hide my not so good bits.

@Lwrenn those bra's were great I still have one! But the asda version which they still do are just as good!

@Lwrenn @ChishiyaBat
I was a bit of an indie kid back in the day.
32Ebboobs so there's something there but the 32 in an e cup makes them not so full - strange small back at the point a bra sits at with fat below and above !
Belly was very much bottom heavy but now I'm like a capital D. No waist.
I'd love to wear wide legs and a tucked in look. Managed it recently but only with one top. Others looked awful. I think a paper bag style waist works on me
I live in jeans and jumpers. Suits a blouse more than a tee but get jealous of all the band tees. They just look silly on me !
I can still wear some old stretchy 12 on top but I'd say 14 top and 16 on the bottom now.

Ah, I feel like that about band tops! I try and buy a slightly baggier top and tuck it into my jeans, so it's not as tight around my tum.
I wish they had more scoop neck (more flattering for a plus size lassie) version of band t shirts, we've some really creative ladies here who sew and make some lovely outfits, if i could sew I'd change the necklines of t shirts!
I think wide legged jeans are fab, I'd love some but I'm not really tall enough to have found any I don't trip over.

ChishiyaBat · 03/09/2024 12:09

Glad it made you chuckle @OhRex I'm off to work now, to deal with more fingered and minging things😂.

All good here - just back from visiting parents. Dad is deteriorating since his stroke 2 years ago and it’s so bloody hard for mum. Did manage to take her out to a car boot sale though so that was fun. Kids back to school tomorrow and I CAN’T WAIT.
Treated myself to some v expensive socks from Sox LDN and am very much enjoying the fact that they don’t cut in at all around my chunky cankles.

Am v much looking forward to all your Autumn outfits too! I’ve been having a little flutter on Vinted, mostly buying burgundy as there seemed to be quite a bit of it in the shops….

I hope your mum is OK, it's a tough gig looking after loved ones.
Poor dad!

They're very fancy socks and it looks like you've got a tan!

ChishiyaBat · 03/09/2024 18:49

Oooh @OhRex I am loving the snazzy socks🧦.

My autumn and winter outfits are my summer outfits just with more layers😂.
I did wear my new spider cllip in my hair today though, got to plug my stock while I work😂.

So I was browsing for some autumnal ideas and I remembered I have a lovely fake leather skirt, I think they're called flippy skirts. Anyway I thought that it might look cool with band t shirts after chatting with @PollyOrange with tights and boots.
So I asked dp if he thought so and showed him the picture of a similar skirt to the one I mean.
He realises which skirt I mean and says he loves my "wiggly" skirt.
I thought he meant flippy but no, not at all.
He calls it my wiggly skirt and tells me he loves it because he thinks it's "cool like the wiggles".
Bloody wiggles, I wanted to be cool like a rockstar or something.
Bloody wiggle.
Hes very lucky I am relatively reasonable or I'm sure it would be LTB grounds 😂

I have a fake leather maxi skirt that I might have to dig out, it looks good with band/graphic tees or a nice tucked in shirt.
I will be digging out my victoriana maxi with bottom ruffles soon too, I love that skirt and wish i'd bought more when I got it.

Oooh, socks that don't leave a great indent - just what I need. I have some M&S men's soft grip ones but they do look bloody awful as they only come in school / very old man colours / styles! Thanks for that tip.

Hecatoncheires · 04/09/2024 13:48

Hello, friends!! I've been off-piste for a while as was on holiday then busy with my hobby (nearly wrote "jobby"!!) then back to work then got Covid. Sigh. I hope everyone is keeping well and being as fabulous as always?

@OhRex I love your socks. I have a thing about socks, particularly stripy ones.

Hecatoncheires · 04/09/2024 14:03

@ChishiyaBat I've just caught up on the posts that I've not had a chance to read yet. Congratulations to your son! How exciting to have an engineer in the family! I am in awe at his physics results. I always hated it at school so I'm constantly impressed by anyone who does well in it. I'm sorry to hear about him being jumped. I read the news these days and wonder what kind of bluddy world we're living in. It can be really hard sometimes to try to see the good in life and tell myself to remember that mostly people are decent (though this lovely thread helps). I hope he's doing okay and is getting over the horrible experience.

Would have been a decent jobby 😂

How have your hols been? Wonderful I hope!

ChishiyaBat · 04/09/2024 18:41

@Hecatoncheires thank you❤️. He seems to be doing great and enjoying college, he walks to work to meet me&then we walk home together which is nice.
Well he certainly didn't get his physics knowledge from me, I got an E😂 although I did get an A in chemistry&biology in college.
The world is a scary place sometimes, so much hatred and violence, but there are some wonderful people in it too and that makes it all seem so much better.
I hope you had a great holiday. Oh no i'm sorry you got covid, hope you are feeling better now.

@Lwrenn I am totally on for autumn witchy vibes. I keep looking at this dress and trying to decide whether I can pull off cool unbothered witchy vibes, or whether it’ll be more potato vibes… https://mothermaple.co.uk/products/briar-rose-copy

Ive also decided to grow out my grey… this is the third time I’ve made the decision and I’ve wimped out each time after a month of roots 😂But these days I have to dye my hair every three weeks to keep on top of it and it just seems ridiculous to keep pretending!

The Crone

This beautiful dress has been handmade by the most wonderful artists, using the time old tradition of block print. Printed using natural dyes and dried under the warmth of the Indian sun.Soft floaty cotton to be worn all year round, she also has pocket...

GoingDownDown · 04/09/2024 19:28

@PollyOrange have you tried 50s shapes? I’m small boobed and big hipped, and I find they work well. Lady V London do a dress shape called Lyra, I have half a dozen, they’re so easy and look good on. I can’t scroll back to see how tall you are…they do a long version which is just below the knee on me (I’m 5’8) and a short too.

I love that! I love the model, she looks so cool, all mysterious 😍

See, I can go potato in things I think I'm going to look great in too! Like a wee baked spud 😂
And oh I am so bored of hair I've not touched mine for almost a year now, I keep thinking I'd like to do something with it but it's just so big and takes ages. Going grey is really in atm, women of all ages rock it!
