Ok they’re bloody hideous. And I’m in my 60s so way over the stage where they’re cute. But I have arthritis, no suitable sandals are comfortable. I have Teva classics which are great but only on a solid surface as gravel, sand gets inside and blisters my feet. I’m going to Cornwall. I need something comfortable and good for on the beach. I’m not happy about this choice but unless anyone can come up with a comfortable and less hideous option, I’m doomed.

I have pink ombre ones and black ones with white hearts on.
Although I don't actually care what anyone thinks my DC tell me they are very trendy now and I plan to get DD's BF some for his birthday next month

Willmafrockfit · 22/06/2024 21:40

Dd had to buy a pair to work on camp America

deeahgwitch · 22/06/2024 21:43

I have bright pink Crocs and fur lined Croc dupes from M&S.
But I only ever wear them in the house or garden.

elm26 · 22/06/2024 21:44

Love my pink pair as a busy mum of a 1 year old! They are heaven on the feet. Even got my DH into them and he loves his too 😂 we went on holiday with friends recently and all of us had crocs (in our late 20s and early 30s)

Ketzele · 22/06/2024 22:03

I always scorned them but in the end my arthritis drove me to it and now I can never go back. I don't wear them out of the house - yet - but that is probably only a matter of time.

Eyesopenwideawake · 22/06/2024 22:05

I have white sparkly ones for everyday and blue rugged ones for farm work - they wash even better in the dishwasher!

Idontjetwashthefucker · 23/06/2024 14:49

Ugly as sin, mine are navy blue with a white sole with a red stripe

Has anyone tried Croc flipflops. I am tempted

Tisfortired · 23/06/2024 15:27

I steal DHs khaki ones but they are too big for me so would like some of my own. They are sooo comfy and great for knocking about the house/garden in or putting the bins out. Admit I have not reached the going out in public point yet 😂

DC have the all terrain ones and I have bought them for a few years. Brilliant on holiday and they play out in them all summer.

Yes, very nice

PriscillaPresssley · 23/06/2024 16:37

I've a turquoise pair that were bought in 2007 and worn ever since.

Last year I bought bright pink croc flip-flops and love them, I'm 67

JoJothegerbil · 23/06/2024 16:44

I have a fur lined pair, a fur lined sandal pair with a double strap and bright coral chunky sandal pair. I love them all, comfiest shoes ever.

I've just got a pair too, my feet are wrecked from ligament damage. I haven't wore them out yet, and probably never will 😄 but they do help my sore feet.

I have two pairs of these: Literide crocs purchased from Amazon. They have a narrower profile than the regular crocs but still lots of room in the tie box and a good, comfortable footbed. I bought two pairs. One size 11W/9M so I can wear two or three pairs of warm socks in them on cold days and another pair in a smaller size for warmer days sockless/one pair of socks (my ankles are like iceboxes often..). They're so comfortable I often forget I'm wearing them. 🌹

Got my first pair Friday and they have barely left my left since.... Fully converted

LunaTheCat · 23/06/2024 17:04

59 yrs old and I was definitely in the “never ever amen” camp.
Passing by shop and blue pair with retro florals…I love them!
Wore them to work one day ( forgot change shoes before leaving house)…I am a GP and they went down very well with my patients and made me smile all day!

BrendaSmall · 23/06/2024 17:06

I suffer from plantar fasciitis and crocs are a godsend!
Also I’ve recently bought these and I’ve lived in them for 2 weeks whilst on holiday abroad and I’ve had no feet problems at all, so comfy

I thought they were the ugliest looking things... I was horrified when my niece bought me a pair for Christmas. Had to put them on to show willing. Wouldn't part with them now. They're sooo comfy! My feet love them.

Coppercup · 23/06/2024 17:49

What's the sizing like? Big/small?

WitchyBits · 23/06/2024 17:51

I have lymphoedema due to treatment and cant get my left foot in anything. I gacsin and bought these https://www.schuh.co.uk/mens/crocs-mellow-luxe-recovery-slide-black-sandals/3312907060/ i shouldve done it weeks ago. Everyone complements them and my consultant said i look like I should be by the pool in Spain. So, im off to buy more in other colours 😃

TheFairyCaravan · 23/06/2024 18:06

I had a pale green pair for absolute years, but I only wear them in the garden. Last year I bought a pink pair for wearing in the house. They’re hideous but so, so comfy. I’ve got arthritic feet but they’re happy in my Crocs.

Purplecatshopaholic · 23/06/2024 18:13

Noooooo, don’t do it op! DMs are comfy, I also have some awesome MBTs that are comfy. Crocs are ugly, evil works of the devil, lol.

Andwegoroundagain · 23/06/2024 18:17

Birkenstock no good? I find these are fine for arthritic toes and look vaguely smart if you buy the fancier sort
