Nicola Coughlan's stylist needs to step it up!

This woman is a talented goddess and I'm so disappointed by how she has been styled for the Brigerton promos.
I feel like a lot of stylists cannot cope with a petite curvy woman, it's so annoying.
This woman deserves all the beautiful clothes!!

You started the thread @Eieiom If you didn't want people to discuss Nicola and her appearance and body size etc, you shouldn't have started the thread. You can't police what people say, or control the thread - and the way it goes.

What's more, your opening post literally mentioned her being 'curvy!'

@SabreIsMyFave my bad on mentioning the word curvy, I had no idea there would be a multitude of posts on about her body, when the topic of the post was stylists in the style and beauty forum and admiration for her work.
But yes you're right I can't control what people say, but it's not what I hoped.

i do agree some of her outfits have been wacky of late but I think the same could be said of many celebs

In your defence, it was the poster that said ‘She’s a size 10 and not plus sized’ that has caused this size bashing.

And for the record @Eieiom I think Nicola is a very cute and pretty young woman, and very talented, so I don't think people should be rude about her. But yeah, she's not a size 10. Probably varies between 14 and 16. (And as I said, there's nothing wrong with that size. It's the average body size for grown women.)

I'm also a 5' size 10 and my BMI is 28 (overweight).

No idea what size NC is though.

Oh dear, @Eieiom . I am very sorry for mentioning that Nicola is/was size 10 as I was responding to whoever said she was plus size.

I first knew about her from Bridgerton, though haven't seen the 3rd series yet, and she's excellent in that.

Look at her waist in some of those photos , she's 5ft nothing with big boobs .. with that shape you always look bigger then what you are in photos I would say she absolutely Is a size 10

I think body shape does come into discussions of style, but there has been some wholesale obsessing about the numerical figure attached to her body.

I think she's fabulous- amazingly talented and humorous and her skin is amazing.

Her side isn't the problem. Her stylist is just awful. Every single outfit is badly shaped and seemed to have excess material which isn't flattering.

Let's me honest, she looks amazing in the pale green and blue dresses in Bridgerton. If I had a stylist, I would want them to make me look that good all the time. Her stylist makes her look worse!

@Eieiom my ultimate girl crush is gwendoline christie, her partner is a fashion designer and she always looks phenomenal. I do truly think she's one of the most beautiful and well styled women. I'd love to see him, I'm sure his name is Giles, style nicola!

I'm pale and chunky and short and I'd love to be able to wear make up like nicola can, and gwen with the red lips etc but I look dreadful, I don't really suit obvious make up, I'm good at applying it, I'm the pal who does my friends on a night out but my face doesn't suit it but Nicola's make up always looks so beautiful. She just has a timeless, stunning face.
Nicola reminds me of Sophie Ellis bextor with that complexion and unusual but stunning features. Little pixie features, beautiful!

Nicola is lovely but I think it must be very difficult to style short people, look at Florence Pugh.

This thread is insane. She's an averagely pretty, petite but chunky 37-year-old woman who gets put in some awful outfits.

Kylie (Minogue) is tiny but always looks good.

I think Gillian Anderson looks good these days, and she's very petite. Sleek and modern, not huge frilly tiers.

I am five foot tall, a size 10 in most shops (an 8 in the vanity sizing ones and a 12 in some others) and my BMI is 22 and I look a lot slimmer than her. A lot.

That’s because your BMI is 22! Nobody is saying NC has a low BMI, they are saying that people with a high BMI may still fit in a size 10 if they have a small frame and are short.

When I had a BMI of 22 I was a size 4-6. I have a small frame. Dress size says nothing about your BMI.
