Help! I love this dress but noone else does.

Could I get some honestly about this one hundred stars dress. My family say it's weird. It's not what I usually wear but I think I like it

It’s hard to tell because your phone and arm are up but it looks like it hangs funny?

The pattern looks nice and suits you but it does appear oddly shaped.

I don’t think it suits your colouring at all, the cream in the dress is exactly the same colour as your skin. Maybe a few coats of fake tan would help. The shoes don’t go either, you need much daintier sandals and definitely not black.

Maybe a bit dressing-gowny? I quite like the pattern though.

I think it totally washes you out and doesn’t really go with the shoes either.
i do think it’s a pretty dress though!
Mind you, is it a proper dress or one of their sort of beach coverup type kaftan things?

That was my first thought. Your skin is too similar to the dress colour. The shape doesn't do anything for you either. It has no shape so just hangs. Sorry!

I agree with a PP about your black sandals, they don’t work with this dress. Try a lighter pair.

I like the pale on pale. I say, if you like it, wear it, because then you’ll wear it well.

Hello sorry OP you have a lovely figure but not a good choice of dress on you at all. Can you return for another style or colour?

It's hard to see properly but I don't think it goes with your skin tone.

It does seem a bit shapeless but the photo isn't great to really tell.

I think it's shapeless in a very bad way and the colour is all wrong on you. Also agree about the shoes being wrong. Have looked on their website and it looks wrong on all the models and in all the colours. Just looks like a scrunched up sheet.

Same here - but I'm generally of the view that "your colours" is a load of nonsense anyway. I agree with "wear it well" if you like the dress.

The opinions on here don't matter. Although having said that, my personal opinion is this dress is a lot nicer than many dresses I've seen on here- ( yes I'm thinking of you - dipped hem, frilly , floral wrap over dress which turns up regularly on wedding guest threads)

Sorry, I don’t think it’s working. I always try to stick to “love it or return it” , it’s so easy to have a wardrobe half-full of things you’re not quite sure about.

Pale dress and shapeless/non-tailored

I can’t see the neckline but it looks as if there is too much fabric just hanging at the front.

I usually despise One Hundred Stars … But I actually love the shape and print of this dress, while hating the fabric.

And I think it looks great on you, @RuledbytheWashingMachine. Combined with your shoes it’s very Margiela - wonderfully stylish. At least, in the photograph. Would really need to see how it moves.

Just what I thought, a nice kimono type dressing gown, but definitely a dressing gown.

This was my first reaction - the colour on you is draining!

I’ve seen someone wearing this dress in a different pattern and it looked good on her. I tried it on and it looked awful. If you feel confident in it then wear it. My friend said it is a lovely dress to wear.
