Could I get some honestly about this one hundred stars dress. My family say it's weird. It's not what I usually wear but I think I like it

I usually despise One Hundred Stars … But I actually love the shape and print of this dress, while hating the fabric.

And I think it looks great on you, @RuledbytheWashingMachine. Combined with your shoes it’s very Margiela - wonderfully stylish. At least, in the photograph. Would really need to see how it moves.

I agree - I really like it, unusual and stylish. The slightly ( but not overly ) heavier shape and colour of the shoe helps to anchor the look and provides contrast to the delicate whimsical pattern and style of the dress. A much nicer dress than many I’ve seen photographed on here, but no matter what anyone else feels you have to love it and feel comfortable wearing it.

I don’t think it suits your colouring at all, the cream in the dress is exactly the same colour as your skin. Maybe a few coats of fake tan would help. The shoes don’t go either, you need much daintier sandals and definitely not black.

I was just going to say the opposite! I think the colours, and the black sandals, are the best things about this outfit. It is a bit shapeless. Could you add a belt? Like a cinch belt, with a gold clasp maybe?

Yeah I agree with this. Just went to the website to have a look it at. Think it'll be hard for most to pull it off and was ConfusedShock at the price!

I thought so. I’ve got a couple from there that I adored on the website. I love the pattern of the material, and have tried very hard to like them IRL, but in the end I had to admit they just drown me.

I have to agree with those who’ve said it’s the shape/cut that is wrong. I’d be forever pulling at it trying to get it to hang properly.

Bit kimono /dressing gown. Black shoes are too heavy for the pale colour pallet. If you like it I’d wear with lighter shoes.

I really like it, it’s really feminine and soft. I actually think the paleness suits you. I also happen to like the shoes with it! You look stylish & unique.

You want honesty i will be honest bin it bin the whole out fit shoes as well.
The shoes dont match the dress i think they are ugly .
It reminds me of my nans nightdress.
But if you like it who cares.

It looks like a nightgown its really up to the neck looks oddly shaped.
Dont like the shoes really not matching.
And tbh i think its ageing you.
Maybe a belt idk its not me.

I really love the 100 Stars fabrics but the styles of the dresses just don’t work for me at all, sadly. I’ve got one of their tops though, which is a great floaty cover up on holiday and always receives compliments.

Sorry op it makes you look older and bigger.
Looks comfy but also reminds me of the nightwear a nurse would give me at hospital in the 1960s.
Its giving you no shape and doing you know favours.
Agree with all posters about the shoes bin them looks like a pair from the 90s spice girl vibes.
Sorry op but you did ask for honest opinions.

I think the colours work perfectly with your hair and skin tone. It looks like it was made for you.

I would wear it with clogs or trainers or Birkies so I see nothing wrong with the shoes if they’re what you’ve got. I wouldn’t have chosen heavy black sandals but they work.

i have a One Hundred Star Dress that my family hate. I love the cocoon feeling it gives me, I don’t want to be showing my figure. I like to feel where a dress doesn’t touch.
