What gives you the ick for no particular reason ?

When I was younger I would have loved to have had longer nails but sadly they used to break easily so they've been short my whole life. Odd now then that when I see those long talon nails ( incompatible with real life imo) that they totally give me the ick....like a small repulsion on sight. 😖

What's your irrational 'ick'?

I hate seeing the dirty underneath of false nails, if you’re going to all that effort of having nice nails you can at least keep them clean. I mean, how do you wipe your bum with those talons?
And I’m not a fan of those thick, stubby Russian lashes, they look like they’re clogged with months worth of mascara.

Long toes clawing their way over the end of sandals that are either too small or too wide so that the owner's feet have slipped forward. Especially if the toenails are discoloured and/or obviously dirty. And men's feet in general. And bare feet with mud squelching between the toes. Summer can be difficult 😳 Feet of kids under the age of about 5 are usually adorable.

Pointy false nails.
Also, nail jewellery.

People out shopping in their pajamas.....happens all the time round here!

Chipped nail varnish. Just fcking take it off- it takes literally 30 seconds!!

Cropped tops. I am sorry, but I have never seen anyone who looked good in one, they always look too tight and small

Very big false eyelashes and filled lips... but an absolute lack of any make up or anything. It's such an odd juxtaposition.

People can wear what they like etc but I do not think men in tracksuits look particularly stylish or competent. It's a bit infantilising. I accept they have been in for years and are very practical and comfortable but just look like big cosy babygros to me

Men in flip flops with their hairy toes. Unclean ears.

Men in onesies and dungarees. It just looks wrong and weird.

Tattoos on people's necks. No matter how artistic or intricate or beautiful it is, I feel the urge to rub at it with a flannel. Probably left over from the constant childhood reminders to wash my face and neck! I don't give a second thought to tattoos anywhere else.

Muscular men or just with the wrong body shape wearing skin tight clothes that make them look like the Incredible Hulk. More is sometimes more.

Missed bits after a fake tan on Caucasian skin, like armpits, or where it hasn’t been absorbed properly like ankles. That contrast between white and orange.

When you are looking at an item, usually white or cream, in a shop and there’s foundation round the collar. Bringing to mind an Oompa Loompa.

False eyelashes lifting off or all out of proportion with the face. Like dead insects over the eyes.

Really visible knickers. Somehow not the same with visible bras. Also tights worn as leggings, not thick enough.

Heels you can’t walk properly in, defeats the purpose.

Those flesh coloured leggings. Just no
Crop tops on young women who aren’t slim. Just because you can doesn’t mean you have to.

Men whose pants don’t cover their underpants 🤢

DS has long-ish on the right hand as he plays guitar . They are clean , left hand is short (not bitten thankfully he gave that up ) but I do look at his paws and think "I wonder if anyone is looking and thinking eurgh " but I guess if you saw both hands there's enough difference
