I’m sad after ‘D’ P told me to eff off and trying to lighten my mood; what lipstick are you loving in the new year or wearing today. Having a browse for a new one and always love these lipstick threads!

What colouring are you?

I kick myself for not buying a brighter colour than I was used to, makeup counter tried it on me and colleagues complimented me on it when back in office. Forgotten what it was of course… 🫣

My go-to fave is Dior Be Dior (a red)

Im pale with hazel eyes and gone from a brunette to this soft / light fluffy mess of a barnet with light blonde/grey/white and some slightly warmer tones so my skin colour etc is all asunder as I navigate the joys of menopause and aging.

Let’s plot light hearted revenge for the name calling at the next meeting… accidentally make crap brews for a week?

A very vintage/old choice - I found a Revlon lip butter in pink truffle that I probably last wore ten years ago but it's a good 'my lips but better' shade

Lisa Eldridge atomic cherry layered with a matching Chanel lipgloss. I'm wearing a lot of grey today so this gives a nice pop of colour.

Hourglass confessions

Urban Decay, Hitchhike. A reddish brown. I’ve got light olive skin and brown/black hair.

Unless I put on Guerlain 920 - red-black - which I treated myself to last year. It cost too much, but the case has a compact mirror built in, which pleases me ridiculously.

Not a lipstick, but a lovely red lipstain. Revolution IT collection one. Love it and the packaging is awesome.

Would terracotta work? I heard of a nice terracotta one recently but forgot its name. Not for me, for friend who suits it.

I’m also wearing Mac Mehr today. It’s my most worn lipstick alongside Charlotte TIlbury Very Victoria.

Was in Dior 999 (a lovely red) but it’s worn off and as at home cba to reapply.

Nothing now but I had Lisa Eldridge Velvet Ribbon on today.
