Love it! Nice find.

I've managed to only donate to charity shops so far this year, when little ones are back to school next week I'm soon that will soon change.

Clements Ribeiro tweed skirt for £2.99! Downside- deeply unfashionable shape (straight, to
the knee) and a bit big on me. Going to play about with some jumpers with it later. If not, back it goes and someone else can relish the bargain…
the same trip yielded an absolutely gorgeous vintage fine wool pencil skirt for £3 which is right on the edge of too small. Mixed results for me today!

Britpopbaby · 04/01/2024 17:06

Just looked at the label and it was slightly more expensive at £2:50! I have to say though that having Googled the blouse and considering the fact it’s 100% polyester then there’s no way I would have paid the full price of over £100! It’s dry clean only and it’s currently in the washer!😂😂😂

I got mine on NYE rather than in 2024, but two brand new with tags Phase Eight jumper dresses for the princely sum of £8 each. I'm really pleased with them - I really like short jumper dresses, but they're really hard to find these days.

A Pure Collection 100% cashmere long hooded cardi in great condition -£1. How it found itself in my local reject charity shop I'll never know!

Today I found a House of Bruar wool green tartan skirt £5 and a hand knit wool sleeveless jumper £3. Earlier in the week a vintage tweed Aquascutum jacket £3 .

Britpopbaby · 21/01/2024 14:00

I went to one of my local charity shops on the off chance they had a long sleeve top for the gym and found some Lulu Lemon leggings for £5.99 which is what I had given up on finding!

I got some Nicole Farhi black dress trousers brand new with price label
for 20£

Beebumble2 · 25/01/2024 15:20

I found a cashmere jumper for £8 today, looks unworn as there’s no pilling and the label doesn’t look as if it’s been washed. So pleased.

Mumaway · 25/01/2024 15:22

Chanel jacket £30 (smelt a bit mothbally but sorted), Barbour modern belted quilted £10.

Britpopbaby · 25/01/2024 17:05

DD came home today clutching a cashmere scarf - £2. When we looked up the brand - Johnstone’s of Elgin - we found out that similar scarfs are around the £150 mark.

Britpopbaby · 25/01/2024 17:11

@Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies bargain!

I found a lovely wrap jaeger wool coat in navy blue for £5 last week. It just looks so expensive and cost way less than my parka coat from Tesco! 😂

Matildatoldsuchdreadfullies · 25/01/2024 17:18

All three of my dd are charity shop aficionados.

My eldest works in fashion, and loves boasting about her charity shop bargains to colleagues.

isthismylifenow · 25/01/2024 19:21

I have done well starting this year out (although I'm meant to me on a no spend Jan gulp).

I'm not in the UK so brands won't mean too much, but apart from lambswool/angora jersey, the most amazing Indian wrap skirt.. I found a brand new mohair sweater vest and yesterday I found a vintage (we think late 60s) python snakeskin clutch purse. It's suede inside. Handmade one of a kind type. It's just so stunning. I am not yet sure what I am going to do with it. If I convert I paid 1 pound for it. Also 1 pound for the mohair vest.

It was like Christmas all over again.

My dream one day is to find Chanel.

NisekoWhistler · 25/01/2024 19:40

Walked into a shop today that was all clothing £3 each. I even got a genuine Moncler filet along with 11 other items. Delighted!!

Bargello · 27/01/2024 09:51

I have lost a bit of weight recently - still more to go - and bought a pair of M&S Lily jeans in the size down from the one I usually wear when I was volunteering last week for £3. Very pleased with them, they do come up quite short on my legs which is weird as I usually wear a short length but round the waist and hips they are fine which is very motivating.

Beebumble2 · 04/02/2024 10:45

A cashmere cardigan, for a friend. It was £2 in a small local charity shop. I felt guilty so I made a donation as well.
Bargains are still out there. This particular shop supports a small local charity it has a quick turnaround because of the low prices and managed to make over £57000 last year. It only opens 3 days a week, the anticipation builds up so it’s always busy.

I sometimes pop into a charity shop which has a huge bin of clothes priced at 2 items for £1. Mainly jeans but various other things thrown in especially out-of-season items. It requires a lot of rummaging but at that price it's often worth a quick rummage. Recently my rummage bin bargains have been some lovely M&S wool/cashmere blend trousers, a Laura Ashley wool mix short A line skirt, a pair of Gap 100% cotton jeans (I prefer 100% cotton to the ones with added lycra, viscose etc) and a pair of M&S stretch cotton trousers a little faded but perfect for work.
