@ZaZathecat I saw a new with tags short shrug jacket a few weeks back for less than a fiver. I can’t say I would have paid the full price.

I agree they are way overpriced but at £3.49 a steal!

Not a brilliant day, but a Nougat cerise coloured cropped cardigan, 100% viscose, which goes nicely with my high-waisted denim skirt & jeans. Also a Jack Wills crossover tunic. It's 100% cotton & navy with a floral pattern, so will go with jeans, leggings, cropped trousers and the like. Both £4.95.

Really happy with some vintage Jaeger trousers (wide leg, pleat front, high and wide waistband with buttons) for £5!
They look elegant (compared to my usual stuff) and I'm going for a fancy-ish dinner this weekend, so it's a perfectly timed find.

A couple of weeks ago I found a proper wool hand-knit Arran cardigan . £8 . I've had loads of complements .

Perfect shoes and dress for a fancy schmancy wedding I was invited to. In fact, two pairs of shoes and two dresses, because the ceremony and evening bash were at 1pm and 7pm, so different outfits were needed. Total cost approximately $30. The brands were nothing to write home about but they all hit the spot.

I also recently bought a Hollister parka, sherpa lined, in a nice olive shade.

My local charity shops are all expensive. Anything with a label is almost what you’d pay full price for it. When my SIL and a family friend said the same about one such shop (St Christpher’s Hospice) being over priced then I knew it wasn’t just me.

There’s a Shelter shop which is overpriced but also an RSPCA and Cancer Research shops which were (I say were) reasonably priced, not been in those for a while though.
