Help with finding a gift for my wife

I had posted this in the Christmas thread, but wondered if I might get some help here? While my wife isn't hugely label driven, she does like nice things. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Mumsnetters,

Me again with my annual thread looking for gift advice for my wife. In return, I will give top tips on male gifts (no we don't want cheap cycling gear. Yes we do want expensive hiking boots).

My wife (46, outdoorsy, dog loving) has had a rough few months with the passing of her father, so I'm keen to get her something special. Holidays are out as we have one booked in Feb. All I have to work with this year is that she seemingly loves everything from Wolf and Badger, likes Penhalligon's perfume and I have a note in my phone that says "Rosa's T Gloves" but no idea what it means. Only that I made a note of it when she mentioned them at some point...

Help!

Does it have a 50 pence piece dangling off it?

A £2 coin no less 😂

30 years ago, we hung on to our finances for dear life for three months as had had a baby who was sick and dh's fees were very slow to come in. That christmas I bought him a Mars Bar and he bought me a Body Shop Bath Bomb. We still exchange those.

Nowadays I just say "I'm buying a coat or a bag or some scent or a cashmere scarf, if you buy yourself something for similar value then we are quits." Job done. This deals with him spending silly amounts of money on stuff I neither need nor want. He has everything. He usually spends it on sheet music, books and/or the opera.

@Carleatspeas Hi OP, I'm after some gift advice please. A male friend from Uni is turning 50 this summer and another friend and I are looking for a joint present - something around 100 pounds, give or take. He's not at all flashy and has no particular sporting hobbies but he likes good food and wine. I'd love a few suggestions. Thank you
