In search of the perfect knickers

Is there such a thing?

I’m not the right shape for knickers it would seem. I’m a size 12ish but with a small waist and big bum and thighs (28 inch waist vs 41 inch hip). However I also currently have a bit of a tummy due to a combination of gynae issues and comfort eating. As it stands, all but the biggest of big cotton m&s knickers are swallowed by my bum and then end up all scrunched up in the gusset region and I hate it.

I would like the following:
High waist - to bellybutton or just below. At least high enough not to irritate my c section scar.
Non scratchy seams that don’t cause too much VPL
Some compression/support to the tummy
A wide enough gusset that it doesn’t end up like vulva floss
Decent bum coverage - anything high legged or Brazilian style just becomes a thong on me.

I feel like I’m not asking for a miracle but nothing works!

I got really annoyed with Marks and Spencer’s sizing issues so now I only buy stripe and stare. They are so comfortable and I always buy when they have a sale.

May l enter a little lightheartedness on a cold and wet morning? 😀

I am now the proud owner and wearer of Wirapa knickers. They are not pretty, but my, they are bloody comfy!

I have the high rise stripe and stare, but they are not high rise by the metric of other brands, and have no compressive feeling at all. For that I recommend Snag pants - lively and firm, and they come up good and high.

I bought some after reading this thread and I have to agree! Where have they been all my life 😁

Do the Wirapa give an obvious VPL?

I bought the ones that are longer of leg and no, they don't seem to have given me VPL

I know what you mean but I am very happy in them.

They are flipping ugly things. I bought a pack and wore one pair and sent the rest to the charity shop. Awful.

Charity shops are not allowed to sell underwear are they? Shame. I’d have bought them. I only discovered Wirapa Boxers two weeks ago. I love them ❤️ I don’t care about looking sexy. Comfort is my thing and Wirapa boxers sure are comfy. Perfect 👌

They are if they are in the packet and obviously not taken out of it. Don't understand why you said you'd buy them. I wouldn't have sold them to anyone.

Charity shops are allowed to sell underwear .. some may choose not to but that is their decision, I volunteer at a charity shop and we get large quantities of underwear from a well known High Street retailer and sell loads of it (not in original packaging).

The wirarpa website (US) are having a sale which makes them half the price of Amazon; does anyone know how much I would end up paying for these (and what's the optimum number of packs to buy)? Postage seems to be free (is that right!?)

I put in my address and selected a country and it accepted and calculated as free postage? Maybe if I got as paying it would change its mind

I like the bamboo ones from Ella and Me. I mostly wear the classic fit, which come up over my C-section scar. The lower-cut ones are also surprisingly ok, sitting just above the scar.
