It’s far too similar to one of Effie Trinket’s outfits in The Hunger Games for me I’m afraid!

ElleLeopine · 20/10/2023 16:07

It doesn't matter what whether any one else would wear it!
If you love it, and can afford it, and it's your style, and you have the legs for it, then absolutely go for it!

BarborousBarbra · 20/10/2023 16:09

I think it's beautiful. If you can pull it off, why not?

Ponderingwindow · 20/10/2023 16:13

I think it’s gorgeous.

I wouldn’t wear it because I know the collar wouldn’t work on me.

your wedding is the perfect time to wear a dress that reflects your own personal style and personality. You do not need to be wear yet another variation of the same white gown. You can also happily wear a white gown if that is what makes your heart sing.

if you have the opportunity to try on the dress without being 100% committed to it for your wedding then you need to try it on. If you end up loving it then you will know. If it’s a bit short, pair it with some tights.

LuluLemony · 20/10/2023 16:15

Absolutely if I had the figure for it. It's stunning and so refreshing to see a wedding dress that's not like the usual ones.

Aquamarine1029 · 20/10/2023 16:15

For $1,600, you can do much better.

Keurig · 20/10/2023 16:16

it is completely not my style but i saw it and did the ‘wow’ that you would need for this kind of dress.

it would take my partner completely by surprise… Which i would greatly enjoy!

I think it's lovely. Go for it you only hopefully get married once.

I love it but would give me a headache in the same way polo necks do. I love it though.

ThirdDressStress · 20/10/2023 16:21

It's not my cup of tea but if you love it then why not. It doesn't look obscenely short on the model and comes with a slip.

anybloodyname · 20/10/2023 16:22

Personally I'd swap them around and wear the white one for the wedding and the first one in the evening

I love both of them and if you have the figure to fit them .. go for it and enjoy every minute

Stunning

MightyFine · 20/10/2023 16:24

It isn't to my taste but I absolutely love a nontraditional wedding dress. If you love it then go for it.

Steev · 20/10/2023 16:25

I would swap them around. The one you've got is beautiful.

sunshinesupermum · 20/10/2023 16:29

I agree with PP. Swap them and wear this at the reception!

CountryCousin · 20/10/2023 16:30

Please, please tell us your wedding will involve a 15th century village church or Capability Brown country garden where you’ll be surrounded by 20ft tall dark green hedges, old roses, lavender and butterflies, @Keurig ! If so, your dress will be in perfect harmony with your environment.

It’s very beautiful and I think will look even better in real life, but especially so in a bucolic scenario.

BungleandGeorge · 20/10/2023 16:31

Depends where you’re getting married and your personal style. Can’t imagine it in a Catholic Church but would be amazing if you/ the venue are a bit more unconventional. I also think for that price you could get something very similar made and choose the length and measurements etc

Keurig · 20/10/2023 16:34

The weeding is in costal France…

OP posts:
Keurig · 20/10/2023 16:36

Sorry, no weeding involved.. the wedding…

I don’t like it at all but your Cynthia Rowley outfit is beautiful

My niece wore something very similar to a wedding in the summer. She looked amazing in it.

It was very short on my niece too. She is about 5ft 10inches. Think hers was a dupe of a Ted Baker dress. My niece is 44.

Finestreason · 20/10/2023 16:53

I wouldn’t it that’s because I don’t have a long neck. But I love them both! Have a wonderful wedding.

LightDrizzle · 20/10/2023 16:54

Well no, because I’d look like Grayson Perry, however if you are even considering it I expect you’re more of a doe-eyed gazelle type with coat hanger shoulders so you’ll probably look wonderful.

Sunmoonstars33 · 20/10/2023 16:55

Definitely! Its absolutely beautiful! You could have a fresh flower crown. And with a bouquet and everything I think it would be very bridal.
