No, I think the flowers around the neck, sleeves and waist are just too much. It looks like a cake.

The Cynthia Rowley is lovely - but nylon. Silk and linen seems a more substantial way of meeting one’s wedding day.

(Why do I always forget Zimmermann? I’ve now fashioned a Zimmerman outfit for every female member of an imaginary wedding party - including a stern housekeeper in black, with gold buttons.)

I love the dress but not keen on the string ties (love the sleeve flowers but not the others!) - honestly if you love it, wear it.

I personally don't like it, the colour is off, and the details are all too much but not in a good way. But aside from that, I do actually think it's too short for a wedding, yes, even if you have nice legs. I don't think it will be practical or flattering either at the service or the reception. If you're coastal and outside at all, it may be a bit windy? But even if you're inside all the time, sitting down in it will be hard... I just don't find it has the elegance I would like on my wedding day. The Cynthia Rowley one is nicer, but if you're hankering after something else then I'm pretty sure you could do better

He’s a very impressive British artist and ceramicist but I wouldn’t be thrilled to be mistaken for him.

I’m a short and generously upholstered 52 year old though so im not saying it wouldn’t suit you.

No - looking at the photos of it on the model, the collar looks like a floral neck brace.

It looks like a doll’s dress. I love the one you actually have though.

I’d wear it, but I’d be careful not to bend over in it.

If you are set on it, could you find a sheer toning maxi skirt to go under it (loads in the shops right now), then whip it off for the evening? Prefer the other one, though.

Must say, for my wedding dress I’d much prefer a visit to the brand’s shop, even if it meant paying £250 more than from a website I’d never used before. (And I buy everything online.)

I’d want to see my dress in the context of the rest of the collection, and maybe gather some visual inspiration for the rest of my outfit.

If you’re very slim and relatively young you could pull it off.

Otherwise it might give Kourtney Kardashian vibes (quite apart from Grayson Perry).

What about the midi version of the Zimmerman dress? You could have it taken up to knee length or just above so it’s not quite so crazy short?
