Aw, I'm so miffed, after waiting weeks to buy it, the M and S calendar has changed some of its products at the last minute and changed its price and qualifying spend (or I'm so lost in beauty advent calendars that I am misremembering, not sure but this is not what I wanted after all). Boots has great prices on the No7 ones (for 10 more minutes) but their website has now broken on me four times while trying to do checkout and keeps emptying my entire basket and not actually letting me buy anything every time I log in (I remember it doing this around the run up to Christmas last year, too, now I think about it). Elemis's website is intermittent, too, and keeps throwing up "forbidden" errors.

Is today the beauty version of Black Friday or something and just so many people are trying to buy advent calendars and skincare that it's crashing every website? I just can't buy stuff anywhere! Beginning to have second thoughts and go for the Anthropologie one as their site is functioning right now!

Sorry I know this post is so negative but just needed to vent as DH doesn't get it at all!

@monpetitlapin I agree, Boots need to upgrade their website. I want the awards box but it wasn’t available earlier, then when I had some urgent work this evening, they must have released some more, now out of stock again. Oh well, first world problems.

Hmmm....I saw that Boots box when it was released, but when I looked up the first product (Hi Smile) it had terrible reviews, which made me think that Boots were dumping off stuff they can't shift.

I was also put off by the Welda, St Tropez, lip gloss, Pixi glow tonic and primer (I have so many primers that rarely use!). Not to mention the old school Hugo Boss that used to wear when I was about 15!

However, I do like the Elemis balm and PK Elasticizer, and there's an SPF so maybe it would have been worth it 🤔.

Don't think that I'll be going for space nk fragrance either. I really don't need more candles atm, and I'm not a huge fan of escentric molecules. Most of the perfumes are 10ml or less so I would have to love the Laura Mercier for it to be worthwhile.

I'm sick of that Floral Street brand. I haven't liked a single scent by them. considering they stock some great brands and scents, the space NK fragrance calendar is rubbish.

Which products have been changed - can you remember? Looks the same as the unboxing /spoilers I watched (as far as I can remember) though looking at it now it is fairly unexciting and I feel like I was more excited before so maybe some thing did change....

The boots box works out £50 once you consider the points acquired. The Elemis is normally £35, so it’s a pretty good deal if you like 1-2 other products (for me it’s bum bum cream- I know it’s a marmite product - and the CeraVe.

@Housewife2010 I think that article is probably a fair reflection, I agree that a Diptyque perfume would have been nice (who uses a hair mist?) and I was hoping for maybe a Jo Loves travel candle. I'll pass too.

I don't get Floral Street either. Has anyone tried their candles? I've had a few of the perfume discovery sets but only liked one (it was espresso something I think)

@monpetitlapin - I didn’t think the M&S one has changed? The products seem the same to me as I have seen in the lead up to release? I think there was a bit of confusion at one point about how much etc but it’s pretty much in their normal ball park I think.

Completely agree with the Boots website though. It’s always been rubbish!

The Laura Mercier fragrance in the SpaceNK calendar is great (smells very similar to Sol de Janeiro cheirosa / bum bum cream) but I understand it has been reformulated recently.

I'm undecided about the fragrance calendar - it's nice and I do like a lot of those scents but the value is poor compared to the Harrods calendar (which I am kicking myself for not getting).

Have decided I won't get another mixed calendar after ending up with LF plus beauty chest - will end up with too many products to use up.

I'm quite undecided about the Space NK fragrance calendar as well. I really like all of the Floral Street fragrances that I've tried, but I don't want any more candles - I've already got a big box of Jo Malone candles from the past two years that I'm never going to use. I had decided not to get the Flannels fragrance cracker because of the high postage but I might change my mind now. I've never been in a Flannels shop - does anyone know if I'm likely to be able to buy the crackers in store when they are released?

So I ordered M&S the other day, bought the Molton Brown one last night as a 'big bday' gift for a relative (but now tempted to keep it) and now I'm back eyeing up Cult Beauty cos there's a free gift. I do not need more skincare stuff.
