Haeckels subscription box

No spoilers please, but had anyone had their August box yet? Last month I received it on July 1st but I've not even had a dispatch email yet.

More like a tablespoon and in no way goes towards any value of content in the box imo.

Just read through today’s discord comments - they’re asking people to email them directly to come up with a solution that suits you if not happy, they should be fair to everyone I feel and offer the same solution.

And while I do think this month’s box is more innovation-like, it definitely doesn’t fulfill the spec of the box they advertise.

I did say I wanted something scent/home like, but this just honestly feels rubbish and poor value/not fit for purpose.

I don’t know whether to continue. Just because I haven’t subscribed for as long as some folk, doesn’t mean I shouldn’t get the same value - they’ve calculated the value of the last 6 months of boxes in order to say that the box has been good value and that’s also frustrating.

I know it’s up to me and I’m lucky I can cancel if I choose to, but I would really hope for a better box next month that actually fulfils the terms of the subscription. I just don’t see how they can sustain this.

Does anybody mind if I forward the link to this thread to Haeckels? They're interested in people's reactions to the box and seem to be looking at what they need to do to make them better.

@nicnicspicnic I was going to suggest the same. Fine by me, I've not said anything here that I've not said on their channel.

A full size body lotion is £44 and 450ml so a 10ml sample is £1. If they've paid more than a fiver for the holders, they've been robbed, mine is a beige lump of clay, it's not even one of the coloured ones! and the incense sticks smell gorgeous, but if I'm generous, that's a tenner. It's nowhere near £28, never mind double.

Really poor.

I've been considering subscribing but after reading this thread I'm not going to.

Sure, it’s a public forum. I did get put off speaking on their discord though as they’re telling people to email! I was going to email but have been busy and also don’t know what I would want the outcome to be for me and suspect that’s what they’d ask me.

That's exactly it! I don't know what I want the outcome to be. I want them to suggest something rather than us all having to do the work for them!

Who has the most boring holder? Mine will take some beating.

That does remind me of the diva lamps my kids always seemed to make in Reception.

Indeed. I haven't even lit mine as I knew from the shape that it would leave a mess everywhere.

Honestly I don't know what Haeckels were thinking this month! Nice idea but they should have included the Pluviophile candle as well, or a full size body lotion (instead of the sample).

Innovation is good but you can't just rip people off if you want to actually keep customers.

I cancelled my box a few months ago but have been following the thread and was considering resubscribing. Was that all that was in the months box??
