No spoilers please, but had anyone had their August box yet? Last month I received it on July 1st but I've not even had a dispatch email yet.

@Zoetrope1 how strange! I wonder if we both got the same random thing? I suppose if it isn't in the other boxes - you get a small atomiser of room spray...?

Zoetrope1 · 08/12/2023 20:48

@SmithfamilyRobinson i did! so strange!

Lotsofpots · 08/12/2023 21:08

I'm delighted with this box. I've really enjoyed all of the similar items I've tried from them.

I only had one sample too.

HundredMilesAnHour · 08/12/2023 23:41

So does everyone have their boxes?? Is anyone still waiting?

In other words, can we talk about them now? 😂

Cyclingmummy1 · 09/12/2023 08:02

@Lotsofpots @AnneShirleysNewDress have you got yours as you've tended to be towards the last in previous months?

rougechaotic · 09/12/2023 11:14

I also got two samples – but not really fussed about either of them (the scent of the skincare one is.... uh interesting!!) I thought it was odd that they only mentioned one sample in the booklet, no idea why they would include two samples in just some boxes

AnneShirleysNewDress · 09/12/2023 12:02

@Cyclingmummy1 I'm away for the weekend but it's been delivered to my neighbour. If everyone else has theirs I'd be happy to hear what's in it.

Yep got mine!

@HundredMilesAnHour do you want to start?

@HundredMilesAnHour do you want to start?

Apologies in advance, I'm a bit cranky today. 🙄Just recovering from Covid and feeling rough, tired and a bit sorry for myself (and frustrated that it has ruined so many of my pre-Christmas plans).

I'm a little disappointed to get the Reef Oil again. We had it in one of the earlier boxes (when it was a genuine innovation product) so getting it as a repeat was unexpected and didn't 'delight' me. I'm wondering if this was a change in original plan for Haeckels and they've over-produced Reef Oil after getting their email saying anyone going into one of their two shops this month can buy a bottle of Reef Oil for £10. But maybe I'm just an old cynic (and a grumpy Covid ridden one at that!) I'm not a fan of facial oils or serums but am trying hard to embrace the damn Reef Oil and have tried it for the last 2 nights - jury is still out.

I was happy to receive the cleanser as I haven't tried that before - I've been using their 'regular' cleanser twice a day for the last 5 years - so that was a win for me.

I'm also a little disappointed that some people got 2 samples and that I only got one (the intended one I assume) but that's just a bit of minor footstamping from me because I'm grumpy.

Orangeslemon · 10/12/2023 21:47

RE the extra sample some received, this is what Haeckels have said on Discord:

Hi all! The spray was this months surprise product - we will tend to put in something extra special into a few lucky boxes. We've done golden tickets in previous months and a few other products as well. There will be something special going into a few boxes every month ♥️

Cyclingmummy1 · 11/12/2023 22:24

I like the oil so far except for its strange smell. Looking forward to the cleanser but it's very pricey!

Disappointed that some people got a bonus sample and it does bug me that the same people get their boxes first every month.

I am not keen on cleansing products which you need to wash off. Thoughts on this Spiraglow product? I like the reef oil but would buy this kind of product anyway.
Layering up serum, moisturiser and oil seems a bit unnecessary but my aged skin is super soft.
The extra sample of the room spray - meh. The only room spray I have bought has been in an aerosol and is for very nasty niffs!
Has anyone tried any of the products and found them truly amazing?

Orangeslemon · 12/12/2023 22:46

The cleanser is lovely to use (it’s much thicker than I expected for a milk) but it didn’t remove my waterproof mascara so that limits how much I’ll use it. I’m unlikely to ever buy a £48 cleanser anyway though!

HundredMilesAnHour · 12/12/2023 22:58

Haven't tried the cleanser yet (just finishing my existing Haeckels marine facial cleanser first) but I always buy rinse-off products so that suits me. I always use separate eye make-up remover so that isn't an issue for me either.

I've been a fan of the marine facial cleanser for years (put it this way, it's now on its 4th iteration of packaging since I first started using it). I also use the soap blocks religiously and have also used the eco marine cream as my moisturiser for years (hate the current packaging - much prefer the previous jar - but love the product). I used to be a big fan of the hand cream too but I find the current Vivomer packaging annoying and I tend to be using other hand creams instead because of this. I wish it still came in a tube even if it less good for the environment (sorry environment!!)

I am slowly developing a hatred of the Vivomer packaging and am relieved to see that they've moved the marine facial cleanser out of this now. I complained to Haeckels last week about the Vivomer letting moisture into the Salicyclic Exfoliating Powder which made it completely unusable, purely because I'd kept it (unopened) in my bathroom cabinet. So I've gone back to Dermalogica's Daily Exfoliant instead.

Lotsofpots · 13/12/2023 20:58

This box is a hit for me. The cleanser is lovely but I wouldn't spend that much £ on it. Will enjoy using though.
I haven't used a face oil for a while as they stopped agreeing with my during my first pregnancy, but a recent balm has reduced my wariness and I'm enjoying this a lot, particularly mixed with a bit of moisturiser in the morning.
Haven't tried the AHA yet. Have a few exfoliants but always like adding more to the line up.

Cyclingmummy1 · 26/12/2023 16:46

Merry Christmas everyone!

Update on the latest box - gorgeous soft skin with the reef oil. Love the cleanser but wouldn't pay the price. And from a previous box, the cocktail waste liquid soap is my favourite product so far.

I didn't subscribe to January's box. Obviously don't know what's in it but if any regular poster to this thread wants to swop something skincare related they won't use for the cleanser in the last box (doesn't have to be same value)? PM me next week.
I haven't tried it, not keen on wash off products.
I also really liked the reef oil.

InsanityRocks · 08/01/2024 09:38

has everyone received January's box yet?

Housewife2010 · 08/01/2024 10:39

I haven't.

InsanityRocks · 08/01/2024 09:38

has everyone received January's box yet?

I think they only started sending them out today....

InsanityRocks · 08/01/2024 12:14

Oh ok, thanks. I had a notification in December to say they would arrive in the first week of January so I thought mine was late again

TheSecretHistoryOfGoldfinchTartt · 08/01/2024 18:41

I am still waiting for the January box. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow

Cyclingmummy1 · 08/01/2024 18:50

I've not had a dispatch email yet, it will probably be the end of the week by the time mine arrives 😓

HundredMilesAnHour · 09/01/2024 11:53

One (of my two) boxes is allegedly arriving tonight 7.30-8.30pm (I find this hard to believe and remain unconvinced) and the other one still hasn't been dispatched.
