Up early for work and sadly no restock. This is a Good Thing.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 06:11

Sale ends today, but I'm spent out!
Just waiting for the blue cotton linen jumper today.
I'm relieved the sale will be over!

ScottishMouse · 20/07/2023 06:36

Awake early and planning my outfit for the day….
what has anyone worn successfully underneath or over the vneck jersey dress (or the Lydia)? I haven’t worn this yet and would really like to, but it is too chilly to wear alone at the moment.
I’m thinking a fitted 3/4 sleeve breton style tee underneath. I’m not a big cardi person and the few I have don’t work (mostly they are too big and chunky).

I just wear a tee under it. I wore mine when it was wintry. Tee was close fitting.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 07:12

I wear it under the dress.
In winter, I wore a long sleeved black tee under it.

ScottishMouse · 20/07/2023 07:41

Thanks @neveradullmoment99. I have a black tee but it is too loose. The montella linen cotton one might look good but I think will be a bit loose too. I’ll try the striped one and see how it looks. Really looking forward to wearing the dress.

I’m not working today but have therapy and going to meet a friend for lunch. Always like to look out together for therapy in the hope it hides the mess on the inside 😆

dudsville · 20/07/2023 07:42

Happy end of sale day everyone! I'm also relieved it's over but it's been a great one, so, so many new dresses!

I had my most recent returns refunded, i sent them saturday just before PO closing so they didn't get them until Tuesday. Over all I've been impressed with the speed of returns. Also everything i ordered was fulfilled, I think they've fixed some parts of the process.

🤣🤣🤣
I'm sure your outfit will be fab!

ScottishMouse · 20/07/2023 08:04

It has been an epic sale, but I’m glad it is over today.
Expecting some homeware items tomorrow so I can drag it out a day or two longer, but then I will be putting my credit card away for quite some time.

ScottishMouse · 20/07/2023 08:05

Agree @dudsville. It has been very smooth this time.

JustforToast · 20/07/2023 08:30

Dear Toasties, last chance saloon for this top which I have been dithering about and hoping for a further reduction. These are my favourite colours and the reviews are so positive. But it is so expensive! Has anyone tried it?

I’ve still got a few things to come, both today and tomorrow, but I’m glad the sale is ending. I need to have a massive sort out of my wardrobe and make sure I wear my new things rather than saving for best.

I also found the bitter chocolate shorts still in the toast bag yesterday and I tried them on again. I think I will be returning as they really don’t do anything for me and I’m sure there will be nicer shorts to come (and they’ll probably turn up in the fading summer sale if I change my mind).

I think it's beautiful, but is it dry clean?
I personally would not buy a top that's dry clean as it would totally limit my wear of it and at that price, wouldn't risk washing it.

It’s beautiful but I also haven’t tried it because of the dry clean aspect. I’m fairly willing to take a punt on hand washing stuff but there’s a price point at which that becomes too scary, and for me that top is above it. But - you could always have a look at it and assess the fabric irl and make a decision. I love the colours.

Countmeout · 20/07/2023 08:49

I love the colours too. It’s the bunchiness that would worry me.

ilovecherries · 20/07/2023 08:52

My last sale things. Do you think it’s all a bit Farmer Giles? The trousers are longer than I expected at 5’7. And possibly a bit big though I’m pretty certain an 8 would get jammed on my bum on the way past. Again they are outfits that would probably get the side-eye here and classed as ‘frumpy’ that I could wear elsewhere and no one would blink.

Sooverthemill · 20/07/2023 08:58

@ilovecherries i love outfit one but the other two are just so so. X

Sooverthemill · 20/07/2023 08:59

Thank you for the advice @faustina i ordered in two sizes to see. Fingers crossed

OftenOrange · 20/07/2023 08:59

@ilovecherries I really like the first outfit, the wave pattern top looks modern and fresh.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 09:14

I agree, love the first outfit. Definitely keep the trousers and the tank. I really love both shirts, but would probably wear with something else.

faustina · 20/07/2023 09:14

@ilovecherries which trousers are those? maybe the shirts need a half tuck?

@Sooverthemill - this whole sale has been a slightly exhausting round of ordering several sizes - fingers crossed one of them works for you!

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 09:14

Or the brown gingham one could be worn open with the trousers and a wee vest under it.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 09:16

Maybe both shirts would work with wide leg crops or something a bit funky. I think they are a bit too much coverage with the trousers.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 09:17

I have the brown gingham shirt and really debated long and hard whether to keep it. I sized down in it and its a very neat fit on me now but I really love it for wearing under my pinafores etc. Its a very sweet shirt.
I adore the last shirt. I have the same material and print/colourway in the Maya. Its beautiful.

neveradullmoment99 · 20/07/2023 09:20

Did you buy the linen trousers from Facebook in dark coffee? I find the shirt looks really nice worn with those and a tee under it, like a jacket.
