What was your last 'treat myself purchase?

Your last purchase that wasn't something you needed, but something you WANTED.

I feel guilty if I buy something I don't need, even if it's only a few quid. I think my last 'luxury' purchase was a £20 handbag!

A tote bag from White Stuff. I'd had it in my basket for a couple of days and then they started their 20% off everything offer so I went for it.

Today - a £3.50 bunch of tulips.

This week - a face cream that cost £14! But I am absolutely delighted with it, I feel I might have found my new moisturiser.

A pair of Arizona Love sandals. I have a pair of Doc Martens sandals I bought last year but I just can’t seem to break them in enough. They are quad soles and while the sandals themselves are comfy… one wrongly judged footstep and my ankle buckles.

I think the Docs will have to be reserved for events without much standing or walking. I’m hoping my new sandals will be comfier!

Rituals Sakura shower foam, it’s affordable but feels like a splurge. Unfortunately they gave me some samples of shower oil and now I’m forced to go back and buy some of that too.

This skirt! I don’t own anything like it, don’t know when/where I’ll wear it but it’s so lovely on.

A pair of mustard yellow trainers from Vinted - total inc postage about 9 quid.

Thanks to reading Caitlin Moran's advice in How to be a Woman that yellow shoes go with everything!

CharlotteRumpling · 07/06/2023 20:57

£25 necklace from Oliver Bonas.

ShadowPuppets · 07/06/2023 20:59

Bought this dress off Vinted. It arrived today and I’m in love! £8 well spent and a good reminder I don’t need to spend £££

Which moisturiser if you don't mind me asking? (Currently on the hunt for a good moisturiser)

Rysimo · 07/06/2023 21:00

Guerlain had 20% off last week online so I bought face cream and perfume. Did overexcited dance when I opened it.

JamTartLover · 07/06/2023 21:01

I bought some lovely dresses from New Look on sale - £45 for three!

That’s the problem with Rituals. It’s all just so lovely. Even the shopping experience is just lovely.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 07/06/2023 21:04

A painting. A gallery near me had an exhibition of an artist who's work I loved, so I saved up and bought myself one.

GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal · 07/06/2023 21:04

Aaaaand I just realised I'm in Style and Beauty. Blush

A £4k bike

AngeloMysterioso · 07/06/2023 21:05

My very first pair of Birkenstocks. They haven’t arrived yet but I’m very excited!

A salad spinner. Livin’ it large.

APurpleSquirrel · 07/06/2023 21:07

Today - two pairs of jeans in the sale. I've had them in the baskets since April & finally decided to just buy them.

isthismylifenow · 07/06/2023 21:08

I bought myself a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses today. It wasn't a planned purchase.

snoozingbaby1476 · 07/06/2023 21:10

@GreeboIsMySpiritAnimal sounds like it's a thing of both style & beauty

I've ordered some summer tops, a dress & sandals from an online boutique. Sold stuff on Vinted of offset the money.

TheHandbag · 07/06/2023 21:11

Charlotte Tilbury magic serum and beautiful skin foundation, well over £100 for 2 items & no freebies😯Before covid you used to get samples from the beauty counters. Not anymore you don't.

Alarae · 07/06/2023 21:12

Most recent but boring- a new hair brush simply because it was on sale.

Extravagant and definitely not needed was booking a private chef for my DH's birthday (as a surprise to him, so paid by this muppet only) and extended family during his birthday weekend in the Cotswolds. My bank account is really regretting that one...

Lovely! I have a similar skirt and have to say I've found it really versatile. I wear it with pretty black lace blouse or cami to dress it up, and I wear it with a band tshirt and trainers casual.
