www.lizearle.com

Cleanse and Polish - always and forever - massage into skin and remove with muslin (comes with) soaked in warm water. Price - £12 or something - v.reasonable. All natural, all good. All skin types.

Maidamess · 20/02/2008 20:14

The best.End of

This is a cheats Eve Lom, but a quarter of the price. You smear it on, eye make up too, and remove with hot wet muslin cloths which are included., thus exfoliating as well.

Its for alightly more mature skin...but I get zits sometimes and its great for those times too. I Love It!

Maidamess · 20/02/2008 20:15

I found Liz Earle too rich for me, like cocoa butter on my face.

DualCycloneCod · 20/02/2008 20:15

the muslin looks odd tho

i did one then it hangs around

Yes but you buy more from Boots baby dept, use them for a couple of days then bung em in the wash. I use flannels too.

Sparkletastic · 20/02/2008 20:17

Nooooo - don't find it rich at all. Don't need much though. Am currently trialling that Lush Ultra Bland stuff as was a bit skint - verrrrry rich. Good for dry skin IMO not if a bit combination like my good self.

agree LG - could probably get away with a lot of average products if stick with muslin

I have combination skin, so depending on the time of the month it's either Liz Earle or my remaining supply of Tesco Skin Wisdom Eve Lom rip-off.

foxinsocks · 20/02/2008 20:25

I can't do cleanser because it dries my skin out but do use one of those facial scrub things every now and then (I suppose that's a different thing)

DualCycloneCod · 20/02/2008 20:26

i used island comsetics http://www.islandcosmetics.com/?gclid=CLTV6t7M05ECFQI6aAodbQxzZg a cuple of times for cheapo stuff

I keep a pack of Simple wipes for nights when I've crashed late and had a drop over-much.

RubySlippers · 20/02/2008 20:28

jurlique - balancing foaming cleanser

have tried everything for my sensitive and spotty skin

you wet face and then rub in - washes off beautifully

this doesn't dry out, or make my cheeks burningly hot

all make up is removed (inluding mascara) and skin is left feeling clean but not tight

smells lovely but not overly perfumed

it is ££££

i have used Eve Lom and it made my skin horrendous ... much too rich

and liz earle

DiscoDizzy · 20/02/2008 20:29

I use Elemis Soothing Chamomile Cleanser. Rub it on and wipe off using damp cotton wool pads. Tis very nice and light indeed

chocolateshoes · 20/02/2008 20:31

RubySlippers - your skin sounds exactly like mine. Was glad to see this thread as I am constantly trying to find the solution to my skin.

BumperliciousIsOneHotMother · 20/02/2008 20:31

Urgh, eve lom smells rank. I can't use it ever again since going off it in pregnancy!
