SOTD Chanel Bel Respiro

I love Bel Respiro’s green notes, but I find it has very little staying power on me.

I ordered the sample set from ånd fragrance last week, so have been working my way through those. This morning - Bean, which is a nice complex tonka/spice that dries down to a skin-musk vanilla.

Me too 😊 I bought mine a couple of months ago but have just started using it. Have tried Far, which is a delicious lemon and vanilla scent. Very similar to Akro Bake.

SOTD Heeley Sel Marin. This summer has been so crap I have hardly worn this.

SOTD sample Twilly d'Hermes Eau Ginger.

Enjoyed this more than expected. Warm zing but not overpowering & gently floral with woody depth from the cedar.

Ooh I used to love Twilly @DuskyBlueDepartingLight and you've just reminded me about it!

Might have to try some of the newer flankers to see how they compare.

@musicmum75 It's funny how all Lush/Constantine fragrances have a similar feel, even if the actual scent is completely different. There's a kind of...rawness? when they go on, but the drydown is so nice. Far is lovely, but I think Bean is still my favourite - Sand is amazing but not something for everyday, and I love the green/funky notes in Bark but wished it lasted longer.

@TheGander that's what I love about Bel Respiro - the green notes.
Though I'm lucky it lasts ages on me.

SOTD: Ouai Rue St Honore

and SOTD: 19-69 'Chinese Tobacco' - lush, a spicy tobacco with a great woody drydown, like being in a sauna.

SOTD is Histoires de Parfum 1725. Fairly sure I smell nothing like Casanova but I like it anyway!

Trying out the new Penhaligons one today, The Dandy. Rather nice, if a bit weird!

It's only EDT but pretty long lasting!

Oh I didn't realise they were Lush/Constantine fragrances but now you say it I can totally see it. They have the same rich gourmand quality. Thanks for letting me know

Yesterday I tried the new version of ña vie est bell l’elixir.

IT was right up my alley. Very powdery because of iris but the first note I could recognise was violet ( as in the sweets). Very fruity and playful I might consider getting a bottle.

Some of the M&S fragrances have great longevity for the price....SOTD is M&S Provenence Amongst the Orange Groves, a lovely orange blossom which I find lasts through most of the day.

Really liking cheapie impulse buy - Next’’s ‘Embrace’. Warm and reasonably long lasting with more complexity than I’d expect for the price. Given the beautiful woman torso shaped bottle, it’s probably a dupe of a well known fragrance - but, to my nose, less ‘sharp’!

SOTD Narcisso Forever - to my nose extremely similar to Estée Lauder’s Modern Muse, but lighter on the lily. Very very long lasting.
