Dress for wedding guest who hates dresses

I hate wearing dresses. I live in the same joggers and my work trousers and the same comfy t-shirts and shirts.

I have a posh wedding to go to. I need something nice to wear please help! I am size 14/16. I don't want anything that is tight- it can't be tight around my bum, my boobs or my tummy. It has to be nice fabric preferably cotton absolutely no static. I can just about cope with a tie around my waist. I must be able to go to the toilet easily. And wear a bra with straps. I need to be able to wear it with my boots or close toe shoes. Bonus points if it's long enough for me to wear without tights - I can tolerate them for the service and photos but that's about it.

I own one dress - a tshirt dress by fat face but its not long enough and I can't really wear it for a wedding I wear that on really hot days.

Can you wear a trouser suit? Or does it have to be a dress?

Why do you have to wear a dress? If you hate dresses get a lovely trousery outfit. You don't want to go dressed as someone else! Go as you, just a weddingy version of you

Smart trousers and a smart top/shirt. Wear a blazer that matches or complements the trousers, if it's not for the summer.

No need to suffer.

Jumpsuit is too awkward - plenty of nice linen or cotten 2-part trouser outfit

I’m not sure I love either of them, but they seem to be cotton and not tight.

Silky chiffon shift dress, or low crease linen shift dress Italian style. I have a few that are below the knee but neither short nor long, just right length for me. Something like this for you maybe?

Oh and when leg covering is needed I wear good quality hold ups. They are the business. Well for me anyway.

I could wear a trousers suit but I'm a bit funny about trousers and only wear my joggers or my work trousers. If there is a trousers suit that has a stretchy comfy waist that would be an option.

Duns of Sweden do wrap dresses that are nice, and organic cotton. I wear mine with chin rub shorts from Snag tights as it make me feel less exposed.

That looks good - do you think it looks weddingy enough? We are talking posh wedding here. Church, very well to do and connected family (not me).
