Do you still use your mulberry Bayswater?

Having a sort out and might start using mine again but wondering if they look a bit dated now? I always thought they were a classic! It’s very old but in excellent condition.

Mine is 13 years old. Battered but still loved and used.

Are you not paying for the quality not last for years and the label to make it never unfashionable?

I was thinking about mine the other day - really must dig it out and use it! From memory it was pretty heavy though?

Classic style so I wouldn't consider it dated now - I just stopped using mine when I had the DC.

No, but having read this thread I might get it out and use it.
I’ve also got a Roxanne gathering dust, but I can’t see that coming back into fashion.

I bought them thinking they would always be in style yes, but it just felt quite heavy and structured - because it is! - and so different to what I’ve been using. I do love it though, the quality is something else.

I don't use mine so much as it's so heavy and I didn't buy a 'classic' colour which has always bugged me in the 12 years since I bought it!

I do, tho, use my Joel, Antony, Joelle clutch and Greta all the time!

Do you know what, I’m getting it back out. I feel like I’ve lost myself a bit post DC so I’m going to start wearing and using all the things I love again, whether or not they are on trend or whatever!

I love mine but don't use it as much as I would like as I agree with others that it's quite heavy and cumbersome. I use a lightweight shoulder bag daily. I usually use it when going somewhere posh by car, which isn't very often. I thought about selling it but I'd miss it.

Yes! Use it! Use it and love it for all of us who lust after it but are unlikely to ever have one 😍 Fashion? Who cares. It is a beautiful bag and it brings you joy. You need to go out this weekend, even if only running an errand, just so that you can use it :-D

I haven’t used mine in so long, I just prefer a cross body like my Anthony now and for the evenings, a smaller bag, like a Lily.

I should probably get the Bayswater out again to use it 😁

I love mine but don't use it that much tbh, wfh and it is heavy. I have it on a shelf in my bedroom so I can admire it and the other mulberrys though :-)

I love mine. It was quite a big purchase for me and has sentimental value but I also think it is classic and timeless.

My Bayswater was the first Mulberry my DH bought me so I’d never get rid of it but I should use it more often than I do. It’s just stored in its dust bag in my wardrobe 😳

I don't think they are timeless, to be honest. They're very 2005. Doesn't mean you shouldn't use it - who cares?

I haven't used mine for 2 years now but I won't get rid of it. I feel it's bomb proof and I can chuck it around more that the canvas LV.

I've had an Effie hobo for about 10 years and I still love it. I reckon I've used it for over half that time.

I sold mine because it was too big and heavy. I have put in my time with big leather bags but nowadays, I refuse to carry anything that does not fit in a small cross body bag

This is really interesting. I used to carry a MUCH bigger bag day-to-day as recently as 8 years ago, but now my bags are tiny - they fit phone, purse, key and hand sanitiser.

Is it just the general trend towards comfort in the last few years?!

I use mine for work. Fits laptop perfectly. Would never use for casual use though.

Just realised the leather flaps on mine have curled despite it being stored in a dust bag . Anyone had this issue and fixed it?

I have two tooled Mulberry Bayswaters, and I love them because they’re unusual but still have the classic Bayswater design and structure. I’ve not used them since I had DS1 over 3 years ago and they’re both in serious need of some TLC, but as soon as I start using grown up handbags again I’ll be getting them out!
