Getting married in 2 weeks and no dress

So for various reasons my husband and I had a celebrant wedding which I hated but ticked all the boxes for everyone else….. we are now doing the legal part in secret, just the 2 of us and I am SO happy and excited - but I have nothing to wear!

My original dress was big, expensive, chosen by the kids and gave me sequin scars. I promised myself for this legal part I would wear something that made me happy….. but turns out that’s a hard brief to fill.

I’m a size 16 which huge boobs and belly. I am only 5ft 2 and hate the way I look to be honest.

I originally wanted something none bridal in a bright colour, then I was toying with jeans and trainers, and now I’m wondering if I want to wear a more boho / relaxed wedding dress seeing as I hated mine so much first time and this would be a chance to be the kind of bride I wanted to be?

Can anyone help me in any way, because at this rate I’m going to be messing up my secret special wedding that the thought of kept me going during the rubbish first wedding!

This was my dress before it was altered to have a modesty panel put in and loads taken off the length.

I let the kids choose it for me, but it was more bridal and pouffy then I would have chosen and everything chaffed after about an hour of wearing it!

You have got an amazing figure!

How about this dress , it comes up smaller so don’t be offended that it is available in a size 18 rather than 16 . Any of the long dresses will need to be altered due to your height and with 2 weeks to go that may be tricky , however this one has two layers , the over layer net just needs a steady hand to cut to length , the bottom layer is a non fray material which if you had time you could sew once cut but would actually hold up to being left unsown. I’ve seen this dress IRL hence knowing a bit about it !

Have you looked at Jolie Moi dresses? I share exactly the same measurements and body shape as you and find their dresses fit where they should and don't pull on the bust.One I wear a lot is their cap sleeve lace dress and I always get compliments . They have several colours including oyster . Even better they have a sake at the moment!__

Fb marketplace has some lovely wedding boho / relaxed dresses on there at the moment

Please can you explain how you got married without legally getting married?! If no one knows about the upcoming wedding then did all your guests think you got legally married on that day?!

I'd go to your local bridal store and see what you can buy off the peg and take away with you, as there isn't really time for ordering and sending back.
