I feel your pain. I have a colleague who wears a particular perfume ALL the time that makes me retch. I can't even enter a room after her it affects me so badly. I can smell if she's picked up a pen even the next day.

I am desperate to know what it is so I can avoid it/ tell all my beloved friends to avoid it at all costs. Knowing her it'll be an expensive perfume, for sure, but it is so unpleasant.

@Puffalicious haha I know! It was one of those if I don’t spend this money it’s going to get used on food shopping scenarios. I did google to see if could order sample but no luck. John Lewis don’t have it on-line so wasn’t sure if they stock it in a shop to test.

I wore my a dig and Voltaire today and I got compliments as no one had smelt it before.

I have the Milton Lloyd dupe for Gucci Rush. It obviously has none of the depth of the original but it’s not bad.

Comptoir Sud Pacifique Vanille Extreme - it's pure vanilla so you walk around like a big cookie, guess people like that.

For people that like Ghost, the Milton Lloyd version is actually not bad and does at least last, whereas the original is a pathetic whisper on my skin.

I have a love/hate relationship with Ghost. I do really like it, but a whole bottle broke in my suitcase once and so I can't wear it without being transported back to Texas, 2008

I wear a lot of different fragrances but the ones always commented on are Coco & the Jo Malone Aldi dupes. Never actual Jo Malone!

Having said that I just discovered that Next is selling Gucci Rush and also Lancôme Hypnose. Another favourite that I thought had been discontinued. 🤷‍♀️

The only ones that get comments are ones that I don't like as much. Creed Love in white (it smells cold to me) but I guess it does smell unusual. I often wear more unisex scents though which aren't sweet so either people don't think it's me wearing it or they don't know what to say 😄

Ive tried lots of others but always come back to this. It just smells fresh and soapy and clean without smelling heavily perfumed. I’ve always had loads of comments when I wear it.

Sometimes I try a new perfume but I always revert to CK Be because it just smells cleaner and fresher! It’s a perfume that doesn’t smell like a perfume 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

Oh god I LOVE L'Agent - such a beautiful perfume. Thinking about it I did used to get a few compliments when wearing it. Since it has been discontinued, I wear it very infrequently now.

I have Timbuktu and it smell's delicious on everyone else in the family but me. For some reason it turns into old tramp after a few hours. Could be the papyrus note not working with my skin. So depressing.

Yes, L'Agent is gorgeous, isn't it? It easily gets me the most compliments of any perfume that I wear. It's a pain it's been discontinued, but you can still get it for about fifty quid or less on Ebay, I think. That's dearer than retail was, but not bad in comparison to other fragrances that aren't nearly as good, IMO. I saw it for £26 last year and immediately snagged two bottles at the same time, so I do have a decent back-up supply now, thank goodness!

The papyrus note is a weird one, for sure. I don't actually think Timbuktu smells that great on me, to be honest, but it draws compliments, so I guess I'm not perceiving it in the same way that others do. It does have a lovely clean smell though.
