Hugo boss femme, sadly discontinued, I'm buying it up on Vinted.

Scent is so personal though, my sister loves Poison, it gives me a headache.

Estee Lauder Modern Muse Le Rouge which has sadly been discontinued. Similarly Stella.

I'm trying to find something new. Bookmarking this thread for some inspiration before I head off to John Lewis!

So lucky! I hadn't heard a thing. Like you, it was MY scent and I havent exoerimented in years. In my younger days i had loads but as the years went by i found Stella - about 15 years like you- and itvwasbyhe only scent for about 10. However, it sounds like a lovely journey you've had finding new ones- perhaps i should start mine?

Yes, do! I’ve been surprised by the ones I like which on paper I didn’t think I would, and many vice versa. I really like a few diptyque ones, terrible staying power but lovely scents.

@tothesea I know that dry shampoo! (I wear it myself!) I love Gucci Rush. I wore it at my wedding (tropical destination…) I used to wear it when I was a flight attendant. It was so fresh and clean-smelling I used to have passengers asking me to spray some on a card for them as if I worked on a department store. (Was happy to write it down, but not share.) Why did they discontinue that and keep Rush2? That one’s meh! Also Gucci Envy! I loved that too! Madness!!!
Another weird one, Fendi Theorema. It smelled like orange liqueur with a nutmeggy drydown. It was so warm and snuggly. Perfect for winter. I remember my DH came up behind me and sniffed my neck saying “Mmmmm, you smell like Marmelade.” I must have given him a death stare because he immediately said “SEXY Marmelade!!!” and that fragrance has gone down in history as the “Sexy Marmelade Perfume” that can no longer be purchased. (Trussardi Donna is now Marmeladey but in a lemon version, but it’s entirely different.)

Years ago now, but every time (well not quite every time but frequently ) Estee Lauder Beautiful.
I often wonder if there is something similar but more modern?
I love a gorgeous " rose " scent but hate the powdery "old lady rose " type of perfume. When we used to buy birthday presents for each other friends used to select anything rose based for me and I had some real horrors! The charity bags did well though.

I have a colleague who smells 'manly'. I can't explain it but it is not pleasant and it is definitely some sort of perfume rather than a natural smell. It made me wonder - if I asked her what it is, she'd tell me and I'd have to pretend I liked it rather than saying it smells awful. So she'd think that she smells amazing .

OK so who volunteering to do a bar graph and collate?

I wear perfume every single day and have so many it is a bit embarrassing. But they bring me great joy. It took four weeks for my sense of smell to retun after the last bout of covid and I was really worried it had gone forever.

The one that get comments almost every time I wear them are:

I used to get followed and asked such a lot when I wore Caron Nuit de Noel and you once could buy it easily and quite cheaply but those days are long gone. I'd love another bottle.

@Elodie09 I have a really lovely rose from Miller Harris called Rose en Noir which is rose but a spicy rose, not powdery at all. It's one of my faves.

It's Gucci Rush (not rush 2) for me, I've often been complimented on it. I think it's a very sexy scent. Did I see someone say it's being discontinued??? 😥

I think this is about skin chemistry. I wear loads of different perfumes, including quite a few mentioned here, but rarely receive comments. The only one that people comment on is You by glossier:

I can hardly smell it on myself after half an hour so don't wear it much, but I've had people compliment me on it at 6pm when I've sprayed it at 6am!

I must be missing the magic pheromones as I've worn many of the perfumes mentioned and not one person has commented that I smell nice 😤😂

The only one I've ever been complimented on was Womanity by Thierry Mugler but this is now discontinued. I have a quarter of a bottle left that I never want to use

Someone bought me a huge bottle of this and, I don't know if it's my skin chemistry, on me it's an incredibly strong very 'harsh' smell. I never wear it because it's so strong it.gives me a headache!

Absolutely gorgeous, I'm going to buy some. I wear Narciso Rodriguez For Her sometimes, and have had nice comments from people who've been very close to me - it's very soft and pretty.
