I got some lovely samples when I bought my foundation at the weekend, I was given L'interdit and Irresistible both by Givenchy and Si and My Way by Armani. Today I wore My Way to work and had a lot of comments about how lovely it is. It smells so nice and lovely lasts all day. I'm going to have to buy a bottle, or rather ask OH to buy me one as perfume is so expensive now.

Most frequent compliments. Cartier La Panthere and Lancome Idole.

I love My Way, only just bought it so not sure on compliments but one of very few that I can smell on myself and still smells lovely hours later.

I find the oils hard to use as I love to spray on my clothes as well as my skin. Handy for your handbag though, although I usually buy the 13ml sprays.

The fragrance dust is bloody brilliant too if you have any kind of oil burner. I love the Oud lime one - even my brother commented on how lovely my house smelled one day when I used it!

I'm really interested in the lack of Byredo perfumes mentioned here.

I get a lot of compliments for Mojave ghost

I like Gypsy Water but it is a very gentle scent on me. I wonder if they all have less projection and therfore fewer people pick up on them? (I prefer a subtle scent anyway).

Only perfume I've ever worn, that people comment on, men and women, is Jo Malone Poppy & Barley. Bought as a present, now a favourite and not one I'd ever have picked.

I wore Bal d'Afrique, liked it but never had anyone ask what I was wearing!

I’m resurrecting this thread as I’ve finally found out what the perfume is…Baccarat Rouge 540 😬. Not that anyone was waiting for this crap nugget of information but now I know.

it’s such a strange scent because everyone perceives it so differently, it smells like airy sugar to me

I can’t detect anything sugary about it, to me it smells like something a teenage boy would wear trying to appear more masculine. It is strange how the perception is different!

I always get compliments when I'm wearing By the Fireplace Maison Martin Margiela, or Clinique Aromatics
