M&S 12 days of Sparks - it's back!

Can't see a thread, please correct me if I'm wrong.

M&S has brought back its 12 days of Sparks offers. It was notoriously bad last year, but day 1 and I have a free hand cream to pick up in store. Not sure if I'll get the chance, but seems a stronger start than last year at least.

Chocolate footballs here which I think DS will like at the moment. Does anyone know if the gifts are dependent on spend? Are those getting gin and Prosecco doing a lot of clothes and food shopping?

My sister spends an absolute fortune in M &S and she got chocolate footballs

TurquoiseDress · 01/12/2022 14:51

I've had a Sparks card for several years and I've never heard of/done this 12 days of Christmas!

Have to admit I'm much more switched on now and download my offers etc

This morning went to M&S and got a gin snow globe bottle for free!Grin

No idea what the gin will taste like but the light up bottle looks lovely

ouch321 · 01/12/2022 14:53

I wonder how they decide who gets what?

I'm guessing it's some random generator rather than profiling on your account details/buying history but if anyone knows differently do say.

Lidl is doing something similar but with vouchers.

AnneShirleysNewDress · 01/12/2022 14:58

I got Fragrance Society hand cream.

Houseplantmad · 01/12/2022 15:01

I also got tea lantern.

IconicKitty · 01/12/2022 15:15

I'm intrigued to see tomorrow's... hopefully it will be another freebie but I very much doubt it!

I would prefer the Percy Pigs over hand cream to be honest, I love them Xmas Grin

Do you have to go to the food hall every day to get these items , or are they added up together to collect when your in there next ?
How does it work ?

IconicKitty · 01/12/2022 15:23

@the80sweregreat my hand cream offer expires on the 12th, so I assume you can get your offers in bulk? I expect the rest of the offers will be discounts rather than freebies though Xmas Angry

Thank you!
Our food hall local to me involves paying for parking in the tiniest car park ( which you do get back if you spend over a fiver in the shop )
Or paying in the council car parks.
It's not always easy to get to and from there
Never enough staff , lots of queues and they have taken away the customer service counter
One lady on the till the other day and not everyone wants to go through the self service bit

Zeeza · 01/12/2022 14:42

Yes, but most of the time it will be 10% off a jumper or 50p off a Christmas cake. Worth having if you are wanting that item, but not a bottle of prosecco every day.

That's not correct. You're describing the Sparks offers, which are usually a bit crap. The Sparks advent 12 days of Christmas is on for 12 days with a different gift each day.

IWillBeWaxingAnOwl · 01/12/2022 15:48

Got Percy pigs! Happy with that

euff · 01/12/2022 16:06

Ooh wow @Floralnomad I was thinking if you do your weekly shop there you might get the big stuff.

Happy with choc footballs and Percy pigs with my level of spending.

I reckon she spends upwards of £150 per week in there , other sister got some stocking lights so we’ve decided that I’ve ‘won’ today .

Vebrithien · 01/12/2022 16:15

Fluffy Percy bauble.

Happy with that. Each year, DS and I have a competition where we try to get the tackiest bauble secreted onto each others tree, without the other noticing.

I do believe I may have found this year's offering...

OneFrenchEgg · 01/12/2022 16:15

Sagittariusrising · 01/12/2022 12:02

I've got 2 offers for 15% off women's dresses and jumpsuits and 15% off bags and accessories. Happy with either of these.

My 12 days of Sparks offer is a string of stocking fairy lights - I'll be passing on that one.

Snap - I don't fancy stocking string lights, would rather have biscuits Grin

Moranguinho · 01/12/2022 16:17

Free bottle of prosecco, will be saved for Xmas 😋

Moranguinho · 01/12/2022 16:20

And if anyone is wondering, I'm an occasional customer and I don't spend much.

evtheria · 01/12/2022 16:29

I got a box of mince pies Envy
Hoping I get a free bottle of something like gin or Prosecco as I know someone who'd love it.

Notsa · 01/12/2022 16:41

Thanks for this. Just checked mine and have free satsumas 😁

Notsa · 01/12/2022 16:42

Also to add, I'm a regular customer and spend a decent amount each week so guessing it isn't related to spend!

LadyEloise1 · 01/12/2022 16:50

LookItsMeAgain · 01/12/2022 09:21

This is what I "got"...15%off something that I wasn't going to buy anyway. That's hardly a giveaway...

I got that too.
I won't be buying !!!

Karmatime · 01/12/2022 16:50

Percy Pigs 🐷 - not a fan, hoping for gin soon.

Well it would be wonderful if I am wrong, but that is how it worked last year. I am not sure how a company could afford to give everyone 12 gifts for nothing.

We shall see.

maranella · 01/12/2022 17:10

Hand cream here. Thanks for the heads up OP - I had no idea about this!

TooHotToRamble · 01/12/2022 17:20

Thanks the heads up!! Although I got free hand cream! No good to me as I am allergic to all fragrances. Gah! I want the gin and Prosecco!!!!
