M&S 12 days of Sparks - it's back!

Can't see a thread, please correct me if I'm wrong.

M&S has brought back its 12 days of Sparks offers. It was notoriously bad last year, but day 1 and I have a free hand cream to pick up in store. Not sure if I'll get the chance, but seems a stronger start than last year at least.

£1 off the lantern for me too.

LookdeepintotheAdvent · 05/12/2022 07:01

I've got £1 off the lantern too. I did better last year (had some freebies) but I know their offers are a lottery so fingers crossed for the rest!

LookItsMeAgain · 05/12/2022 07:09

A bag of Christmas Percy pigs today for me!

Bubl · 05/12/2022 07:27

£1 off a shortbread lantern here too.

SpicyToothpaste · 05/12/2022 07:33

£1 off the lantern for me too.

Underwhelmed so far with this! Persisting in the hope of free alcohol or sweets at some point but % off things I’m not planning to buy isn’t going to entice me in store!

euff · 05/12/2022 08:27

Day 1 - Chocolate footballs
Day 2 - 15% off M&S cream liquer
Day 3 - Win tickets to snowman gala
Day 4 - 20% off decorations
Day 5 - £1 off a light up shortbread lantern

inappropriateraspberry · 05/12/2022 08:31

Day 1 - free satsumas
Day 2 - 15% off cream liquor 🤢
Day 3 - Tonies discount
Day 4 - 20% off decorations
Day 5 - £1 off lantern

Will pick up the satsumas today, rest of it absolutely pointless.

Cookerhood · 05/12/2022 08:39

£1 off the lantern too, & only 7 days to redeem it. The first day was the best for me (gin)

SocksAndTheCity · 05/12/2022 08:40

Lantern too for me. So far the only thing I really want is the hand cream and I haven't been able to find any in store yet, although I'm going to try again later today since I'm passing bigger store 🤔

Peridot1 · 05/12/2022 08:45

I got the £1 off the shortbread lantern today too. I do like shortbread but don’t think I’ll be paying a premium for the lantern even with the discount.

I wondering if most people will get one free item and the rest is all discounts. So I got the handcream on day one and will only get discounts from now? Be interesting to see.

I agree the Sparks card was badly thought out. I refused to use it for years as it annoyed me.

Justwanttobebythesea · 05/12/2022 08:47

I think it was one freebie on day 1 then just discounts which I don't want. Still holding out hope for another freebie, maybe day 12?

Mrcpy · 05/12/2022 09:27

I was pleased with the hand cream on day one, but the other offers aren’t too exciting! Not complaining though, they’re freebies after all. I love M&S so I’m still buying stuff. There are good sales on kids clothing and Rosie bras at the moment.

CornishGem1975 · 05/12/2022 09:46

£1 off the lantern, would cost me more to park there 😅

Nottogetapenny · 05/12/2022 10:04

£1 off lanterns for me too!

toastfiend · 05/12/2022 11:17

I got £1 off a shortbread lantern, too.

I've been pleased enough with the other offers, but even I am struggling to be excited by this. I make my own shortbread and I can stick some fairy lights on a tin if I want to.

toastfiend · 05/12/2022 11:18

Also, £1 is such a measly sum to discount it by. At least with 20% off decorations I can choose to buy a few bits and bobs to make it worthwhile, plus it's online so doesn't cost me anything to do. £1 off isn't even worth the fuel to get there.

the80sweregreat · 05/12/2022 11:34

It's a one pound 20 to park in town for one hour and their own car park where you get the money back is always full! Not worth it at all today for a pound off

littlefireseverywhere · 05/12/2022 11:35

I got gin on the first day then £1 off the lanterns, I mean who really buys those anyway? I bought some for 50p after they were on offer after halloween. But only because it was cheaper than normal biscuits. Very underwhelmed with the money off offers, yesterdays was 20% off cushions, I thought that was ok, until I realised it was actually only valid for Christmas cushions. Who buys Christmas cushions?

Carpediem15 · 05/12/2022 18:33

Those lanterns are 3 for the price of 2 today.

Stoic123 · 05/12/2022 20:12

Day 1 - free Robin decoration (offer will allow handcream instead if run out)

Day 2 - 15% off cream liquor
Day 3 - Tonies dis
Day 4 - 20% off decorations
Day 5 - £1 off lantern

Day 1 - might pick up. Days 2-5 useful as chocolate teapot.

Glorieta · 05/12/2022 20:20

Not impressed so far
Day 1 handcream - sold out
Day 2 15% off crisp
Day 3 money off tonnes
Day 4 10% off cushions???!!!
Day 5 a pound off shortbread lantern 😪

fernz · 05/12/2022 20:38

Lantern discount for me too. They are really missing a trick not offering proper discounts on something I actually buy. I actually have over £150 worth of clothes in my basket just waiting for a discount... 20% off would have me checking out the basket very quickly.

JaceLancs · 05/12/2022 21:16

Day 1 was free robin decoration (out of stock)
Day 2 was 15% off crisps WOW
Day 3 was hand cream (out of stock)
Day 4 was 20% of Xmas decorations (which I don’t need)
Day 5 today £1 off a lantern
there is no way I will bother wasting fuel to go to M n S after 2 out of stock items so far and piffling little discounts

ThatsGoingToHurt · 05/12/2022 21:24

£1 off a bloody shortbread lantern! Some one needs to speak to the person running sparks. 90% of people want gin/prosecco/chocs and sweets!

Cookerhood · 05/12/2022 21:33

They must have an excess of the lanterns as everyone seems to have that today.
